Yes.
Lewis Hamilton is the better driver.
The great unknown is the effect of the 6th Power Unit penalty.
Lewis Hamilton is 2 units down compared to Nico Rosberg, one went up in flames and it's used replacement can not be used again until the last race.
So at some stage this season each team is going to have to make a strategic decision and take the penalty or penalties.
If I ran a team then I would use take the hit as soon as possible. Just because you are on your 6th unit does not necessarily mean that the other 5 are unusable.
Heart says Hamilton, head says Hamilton. Feel Suzuka will be the decider
MUDD, in answer to your 3 questions:
1) Do you think Hamilton can catch Rosberg before Abu Dhabi?
Well I think he can if his car is reliable and there are no other Monaco or Spa type incidents etc.
2) If you do, when do you believe he will catch him?
I reckon by the end of USA GP they will be within a point it two of each other. Then the fun will begin.
3) Who do you think will be the world champion?
Therein lies the million dollar question. Can I phone a friend?
With double points at stake in Abu Dhabi, the gloves will be off for the last two races. Especially if it is by then a 2 horse race.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 'racing incidents' in both Brazil and AD. The first to try to make any gap more than 14 points before reaching AD, thus making a Merc 1-2 in AD possible either way. The one in the lead at the start wins WDC. If this plan fails and there is less than 14 points separating them AD could be another Suzuka / Spa.
The next question would be who would do such a thing?
Well Rosberg has already shown he will do anything to win the WDC.
Hamilton already has one WDC and I don't think he us as ruthless in thus aspect of his driving. Yes he sometimes tries some silly and possibly reckless overtaking manoeuvres. But I honestly don't think he has tried such a move to deliberately cause an accident. Nothing like MS almost running Masa into the pit wall.
Whatever it is will be subtle and made to look like a racing incident as in Spa.
I seriously think if anyone will do this it will be NR. Whether it works and he wins WDC, who knows.
I am a Hamilton fan, but not a fanboy. I would love to see him win this year, but I have always liked Rosberg and I wouldn't mind seeing him crowned though not in the manner I have described, and if it is within 25 points at the final count, people will look back at Monaco and Spa and question how worthy a champion he is.

really cant call it manx -- far to many variables for me to even attempt an accurate prediction --
i could be wrong but i believe merc may have stronger competition from red bull and williams in the last 7 races -- believe red bull will really get behind riccardio now they have a sniff of the drivers title , a few really quick tracks also coming up that may suit williams ,
basically i will be surprised if merc have quite the level of dominance in the last 7 races that they have had so far , and with the points in the bank that may favour rosberg -
might also come down to who can handle the pressure better , as each of the 7 races goes by the pressure is raised up a notch -- again as in all sports when the pressure is on it comes down who has more bottle and who remains error free
-------- again very hard to call as nobody as yet has seen either driver under real pressure for some time -
if somebody held a gun to my head i suppose i would have to say rosberg might prevail , not because he is the better driver , he has the extra points in the bag and the ridiculous engine rule might bit hamilton in the final races , and as i said i believe riccardio and williams might start to do rosberg the occasional favour -
--------- however i might be talking bollox and lewis may blitz the next 7 races -
---------- really cant call it
Its gonna come down to the ridiculous double points n engine penalties. What a shame
How far behind Rosberg can Lewis be where he a win at Abu Dhabi will seal him the Championship.
1) I believe it's going to be hard, but Lewis can catch Rosberg, albeit it's going to be extremely close. And if all drivers on the grid can refrain from close racing incidents, this is going to be scintilating.
2) I think Sochi is going to have a huge role to play in this battle, so Sochi is where the championship comes down to within 5-8 points in my opinion. If not by Sochi, it's coming down to Brazil or Abu Dhabi. Consistency is the key for Rosberg, but consistently beating Rosberg is the key for Hamilton, which as much as it pains me to say it, he can't do at the moment.
3) As much as I want Hamilton to win, my mind tells me this championship is Rosberg's to lose now. Every time Hamilton has been in the championship hunt, it's been too close to call until the last race, even in 2008 I was on the end of my seat with 2 laps to go I had to turn away from the TV convincing myself he'd thrown it away.

Go-Cellino-Go, you mention Schumacher almost putting Massa into the pit wall, not being rude, but which race was this? I can't recall it, are you confusing this with Barrichello at Hungary 2010?
Greg, you are of course correct..... Rubens it was.

No he can not. All Nico's now I feel, unless the team interferes.
Points disadvantage
power unit parts disadvantage
luck disadvantage
No going to happen.
Rosberg has pretty much been given free reign to do whatever the hell he's wanted to do.
So many incidents with him, yet he hasn't even had one drive through.
So if he uses a 6th power unit, he gets a 10 place grid penalty. Hmmm.
Congratulations, Nico Rosberg, world champion
Would be nice if Felipe Baby took Nico out this weekend.
Come on Felipe
