him and arteta are being offered new contracts apparently
Arteta Great servant, deserves an extension. Can't see it with Giroud, though. He would probably want £100K+/month. We will have to cash in while there is any sort of resale value.
Hopefully this injury has thrown a spanner in the works of the new contract.
Arteta deserves one. Been solid, consistent, professional and a leader.
Giroud has been none of them in his time at Arsenal.
Desperation from all Giroud haters
I hope giroud doesn't come back from injury before the end of the season then we can offload him to the championship where he belongs next summer
No. Giroud will be offered a contract extension and end his career at Arsenal as a club legend.
Giroud is going to come back, score lots, be more beautiful and teabag all your mothers

I've got to say as cráp as Giroud is and he is cráp, £100k a month is great value in this day and age.
20+ goal a season striker for under 100K a month is great
Giroud is marginally better than Welbeck

Your grasp of football isn't very good. Weren't you banging on about Spurs being title favourites last season

Arteta...love the player and more than happy for him to stay with us. Consistent, yes...professional, yes...Solid...umm sorry but no, not in his current role at Arsenal. He is far from a solid DM I'm afraid.
Arteta is a 7/10 footballer, solid is the best way to describe him. Of course against top opposition his flaws will show but he shouldn't be starting every week, that's Wenger's fault, not his. As a squad player he is fantastic to have, I would question the sanity of anybody who wants him sold.
If u guys think that giroud is worse than welbeck your all in for a shock
Why bring up one night of indiscretion YET AGAIN?
For sure, I wouldn't sell him, I'd just get a proper DM and allow him to play an attacking role for us as he did at Everton. He always looked a cut above the players around him there and when we initially signed him I thought "Ooh, will be good watching him play with our attack which was far beyond Everton's at the time. Then Wenger goes and sticks him in at DM. Was a bit gutted tbh
Giroud is being offered a contract till 2018
'Weren't you banging on about Spurs being title favourites last season"
errr....no
I found the idea laughable

Good! Last time I checked, we don't exactly have strength in depth in the position do we. So are in no position to be getting rid of a pretty much 20 goal a season striker. Even in a best case dream scenario where Welbeck gets 35 goals, we have to keep Giroud.
Sell Giroud in January, take Falcao off our feeder club United in June.
