Our last encounter was 3-0 at the city ground with goals from Robbie Keane, Mido and Pamarot!

I was at that game but I was in with some of the home nutters so I had to celebrate quietly

I miss Forest being in the top flight, it's the closest ground to me.

Anyhow, is Gazza dead or not?

or don't you genuinely care?

Last seen dancing down Brian Clough Way with a bottle of vodka in one hand and a frozen halibut on a dog lead in the other.

Gazza is about the only thing I like about Spurs.

I remember going to a game at WHL in season 62/63 which was
Spurs 9 Forest 2, Jimmy Greaves netting 4, was also at the semi-final 1967 Hillsborough, when Spurs won 2-1. Always used to have a good record versus Forest home and away.

I wonder if Greavsie still has his boots

Greavsie in his 70s would still be a better than 90 per cent of the so-called strikers in the prem.

Limited drinks on this thread, I'm afraid. I can offer you a or a (be careful of the latter!).

Anyhow – are you lot feeling confident ahead of tomorrow?

And I am not trying to draw you in for a WUM, as (despite our position in the Championship), Forest have not played particularly well in their last 3 games, and I'm a little worried. If we don't get out act together, it could be spectacularly bad....in front of the TV cameras (again).

It would have been interesting to see how Spurs would've coped with ten men in that final if Milford hadn't been on the WHL payroll... As it happened, Spurs did get better as the game went on, just unfortunate that it had to be decided with such a cruel goal. Was a great occasion all the same. We had plummeted quite far since 😕

Got revenge for the FA cup Final by beating Spurs at WHL in the League Cup semi final the year after. Brilliant game-bomb scares, driving rain and a quagmire of a pitch. Had to wade through some bitter Spurs fans after as we'd parked beyond the other end of the ground from the away end.

Also remember the game in 95/96 when that blizzard hit Nottingham. Remember trying to chuck snowballs at Ian Walker from the Lower Trent End. Ref was a spoilsport and took the players off when I had just about perfected my aim!

Guys, do any of you know if tomorrow's game is included on season tickets? I think the first 2 cup games are included but can't remember, and can't find any info on the website...

Cheers

Should hope so at the price you lot pay for them!

Gazza on Woan(?) - In those days that was never a yellow card offence. Gazza was the one with the ball and Woan was late challenging. If you had watched Gazza do long range passes or shots you will notice that he raises his boot up for some. Complete accident.

Gazza on Charles - Definite yellow card in those days and probably a red nowadays. Should have been booked but think ref took pity on him.

Hod Idol- Gascoigne's studs up challenge was on Parker (Woan had a very quiet game that day and appeared overawed by the occasion). Strange argument to justify what was clearly a foul?! Was a yellow by the reffing standards of the day. Gascoigne on Charles was also a clear yellow card by the standards of the day. Milford admitted years later that he got it wrong but we all know that he was too scared to send Gascoigne off due to the public adulation for the Geordie.
Overall, Forest froze on the day and Spurs performed better but it always intrigues to think back and think what if?...

Saying Spurs well deserved the win is very biased. Forest took the lead deservedly but were then 2nd best. However, Gazza should definitely have been sent off. It was a red card challenge in any era. If the ref hadn't bottled it then who knows what might have happened.
