Usually the players with wives prefer London, High streets
I can imagine footballers having quite a lot of free time on their hands.
London will have more restaurants and entertainment, than Liverpool (which has what? McDonalds and the locals to "entertain" you (when they're not robbing you)?).
sanchez situation, rodgers is saying he chose london over liverpool. would that have happened if liverpool and arsenal were in the same city i.e liverpool or london
Whether you live in London, Manchester or Liverpool there are more than enough shops and restaurants to keep anyone fed and clothed. Location is a minor factor for a player choosing club.

No it isn't, it's a major factor. London has far more to offer a 20 something millionaire. Also in the case of Sanchez, London is far more multicultural so will have a bigger Latin culture for him to embrace.

If hypothetically the NW clubs were based in London then yes they would have a better chance in getting players.
I think location is a massive part of a player picking a club.
lets be honest if the up north were based in london who would reject the likes of man utd and pool 2 biggest clubs in england. it would be like barca and real madrid at spain
Strange but true: Eric Cantona chose to live in an plain 3-bed semi-detached house on an estate during his Red years. Ridiculously expensive pieces of art hanging off it's walls, mind.
No idea what the security installation must have cost.
If London was based up north, do you think less players would sign for London based clubs?
London is a big draw for sure. At the end of the day it's more diverse and one of the greatest cities in the World.
Essentially though pay them enough and they come. I'm unsur Rodgers can attract top talent either.

that's interesteing because up north players mostly hate compare to london. i think players would choose one of the biggest clubs i.e pool or utd
Unless it's their home town, if a player’s top priority is which city they would prefer to live in, then I wouldn’t want them in my team.
Priorities above favoured city should be
Which league do I want to play in
Which team am I most like to win something with
Which team will best match my style of play
Which team am I likely to make the 1st team for
How much money will they pay me
Choice of city would only come it if you had 2 offers and the above were equal. A football player’s career is a very short, they’ll have plenty of time & money to live in your city of choice after it’s over.

As someone above said, if the players has a wife/family and they are coming from south america then the London clubs do have an advantage.
If the Family does not settle the player will not be at his best.
Look at Crespo for Chelsea, great player who wanted to play, but his wife could not settle, got burgled afetr a couple of weeks and she moved back to Italy without him.

This sounds very much like the choice Sanchez had?
Didn't Hazard have the choice between both Manchester clubs, and Chelsea?
I remember reading Cesc went to Chelsea because his missus wanted to live in London.

2 mins from where I now live. My neighbour who has lived here all his life said that he bumped into Eric quite a few times.
Man 1982, for people with ordinary job I agree.
But for multi-millionaire footballer’s, they will pay for special education for their children. If they want the London nightlife, then they can afford to travel from Liverpool or Manchester. They should set their career as first priority or I wouldn’t want them in my team

No they won't, they will send them to private schools. There is also the day to day issues of living life as a family and providing as much as you can to your children and many would consider London a better option. It's one of the biggest cities in the world with so much to offer especially if you are rich with better food, better culture, more diversity.
Why have many left the BBC since it's move to Manchester, because they prefer London life, same with most young people.

For starters, that's way too long to travel just for a night out, also players are choosing what is best for their careers,
If teams have a choice of LFC or AFC/CFC, the London teams always win for pay, location, CL football, managers, players etc
I've seen a few people put "an shambles" I thought they were just simple minded.
I guess I was right.
