For those who don't know much about Wilder here's a YouTube clip of his knockouts:
Deontay Wilder ULTIMATE Highlights/Knockouts (29-…: http://youtu.be/Mqt6tW2a2Kc
He has a perfect record of about 30 or more fights so far although he hasn't fought anyone really good yet.
Unless you class Audley "the human punch bag" Harrison as really good
It can be particularly hard to translate early form of heavyweights to see how that'll translates to fighting the best.
The Klitschko bros are quite a step up but it has to be on the cards at some point, I don't think he'll be beating them though and hopefully Joshua will be challenging him in a couple of years.
Have you every seen that internet fraud and disillusion 'boxer' Zelenoff take him on and his whole story?

Some delusional nutjob. Kind of sad really.
By the way did you see Shannon Briggs stalking Klitschko ?? Still can't work out if that's staged or not.
No Wilder is pants, looks ungainly, bad balance and looks like he has a chin that's weaker than paper.

32 wins all by knockout and no losses says otherwise.
If he has a weak chin then nobody has been able to show it so far.
Think we have got used to all the belts being in one camp when it comes to heavyweight.
Once the second k retires think the belts will fragment a lot more and you will have a bunch of fighters holding one or maybe two of the belts at a time.
When that happens one of the belts could well be with him

knocking out 32 bus drivers doesn't prove anything.
and have you actually seen him fight? he's been rocked/dropped a few times despite fighting nothing but E, F and G level fighters.
His chin is woeful and he's a brutal KO waiting to happen.
I saw the Audley Harrison fight and been keeping an eye on him. There are plenty of his fights on Youtube for anyone wanting to check them out.
If his chin is that bad then why has he never been KO'd ?? Especially if he's been dropped a couple of times.

lol because they are barely pro fighters. you'd probably put up a better fight than most of the guys he's fought so far.
stiverne will probably put him to sleep.

Yeah I suspect that's what will happen.
To be honest all I care about is that the Heavyweight division gets exciting and that we see some memorable fights again.

--------------------------
Ok but the Heavyweight division is so full of very average fighters at the moment anyway.
You'd have to go back many decades to find a more talentless era.
I know but hasn't even fought the best of a bad bunch.
I wish him well, he seems like a decent guy and has an exciting style, but he's just not very good and I can't see him getting far
He is stepping up in his next fight, a lot of questions will be answered
Ok interesting opinion John.
Just out of interest how do you think Wilder would fare against Anthony Joshua or even Tyson Fury ?
Are those fights you'd want to see ?
I certainly would.
I think Joshua would be better served having a couple of fights which may go 5 or 6 rounds before he looks at the likes of Wilder. Personally I think Joshua would take him out now but that wouldn't be the best management, being KOed can finish a career or put it back 18 months.
Joshua is what 25? he's got ten solid wins behind him now but doesn't really has much ring experience, he needs to take a clear step up every one ortwo fights now but not take any risks either, progress but at a sensible rate.
A Joshua Price fight was mentioned on another thread and I'd love to see that, then perhaps Fury Wilder and Joshua could fight the winner and from there I'm not sure who he'd need to fight before a shot at the champs.

Fury vs Wilder is 50-50 I'd say, neither are very good. Either Wilder by KO or Fury on points.
Joshua is a better fighter than Wilder, it's too early for that fight to be made now but in the future I'd pick Joshua to stop Wilder.
Fury vs Wilder definitely does it for me. Would love to see that fight happen very soon and there's no reason why it shouldn't.

Maybe not but it will be exciting. Something that you can't say for any Klitschko fight
Looking forward to seeing Eubanks face when his son loses next week
Klitchko pulev was pretty good to be fair superb

To be honest Wilder didn't even look that good against Zelenoff, could've easily just been a random big bloke on the door of Yates, Croydon.
Thing about wilder is that actually you can see he has potential, a world class coach to iron out his issues and he would be a true force.
While he’s relatively young for a heavyweight these days he’s 29, this really would be the time to start taking some serious fights.

Yeah I agree and I agree with Chelsea Droog that now is the time for Wilder to get some big fights under his belt. Tyson Fury is surely the way to go for him if he genuinely wants to eventually get a crack at Vlad.
