A very sneaky but well respected 600 goes to GB
I did have my eye on earlier......but had a snooze instead
Sack the stoat
I'm all for captains who lead by example.
Captains who can't get in the team inspire no-one
Same for captains who can no longer mark players or run.
No complaints from me, I am not calling for ricketts to play.
Clubs have to name a captain to walk out first and call heads or tails. I don't think there are many inspirational captains out there. They really just act as the liaison between the manager and the players.
Although it was fascinating to see Paul Ince and his relationship with the players when I stayed in the same hotel as the players on a pre season tour. I got the impression he was more in control of the players than manager Dave Jones was
Yeah, i get your point DJ, i was never suggesting Ricketts as some kind of demi god to be honest.
Now Ince, thats a different story, not that i follow the prem much, but Keane would have been another i imagine, and Terry, Kompany these days, players that lead by example and command respect.
I do think having players that command respect on the pitch can make quite a difference, that is one of the things that sticks out from the Jones side for me, so many in that bracket.
Ince, Rae, Cameron, Lescott and Murray(for guys so young), Butler, Irwin.
I personally think that is something lacking with this current side, maybe that just comes from most of them being fairly new to the club maybe?
Ha, am i being generous to Paul Butler?
Thought Kennedy had it as well.
Keith Curle was one from slightly earlier as well.
Or maybe i was just an impressionable early 20 something
Forget swapping player A for player B or making C play further forward than D, don’t fret about whether one defensive combination is slightly better on the ball than its counterpart that is slightly better in the air. This is no longer about one midfielder having a 94% pass completion rate while another has a 91% rate or if one winger has a bit more pace but a few less tricks.
Worrying about that sort of thing and micromanaging the team through numerous changes is what has got us here.
This is now a test of mettle.
Of fight and desire from the players and of man management and motivation as Jackett.
This week needs to be about him deciding who will run through brick walls for him and making sure that by Saturday they are hyped up to the point where it resembles bloodlust.
If we had taken this number of points from this number of games but with the wins and losses spread evenly no one would be worrying in fact we’re pretty much with the range of where I expected us to be but our recent form needs to be turned around and turned around quickly.
On Saturday I want to see us first to the ball, I want to see us giving the opposition no time, I want to see them on the back foot from the off because nothing has prepared them for the way we come out and get into them.
Can Kenny put that sort of fire in the player’s bellies? I don’t know but if he does I think we’ll win the game and he can then go back to being the mild mannered tinkerman and if he does and we don’t win the crowd will far more forgiving than if we try to play tippy tappy football and it fails.
There should only be one song from the South Bank on Saturday.
GET INTO ‘EM
FÚCK ‘EM OFF
GET INTO ‘EM
FÚCK ‘EM OFF
GET INTO ‘EM
FÚCK ‘EM OFF
GET INTO ‘EM
FÚCK ‘EM OFF
1-14 is unacceptable under any circumstances
Kick him out
Today
Stick with the stoat !
For now at least ......
And five minutes into the game:
"Kermorgant on to Wilson. Wilson spreads it wide to Rantie. Rantie back to Wilson. Wolves cannot get near the ball. Wilson. Wilson. Wilson one two with Pitman. Stearman is on his arsé. Wilson is through. Goooooooaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!"
"Oh dear. Same old story. Too many defenders on their heels and nobody putting a foot-in in front of them. It was too easy Rigo. Too easy. Hang on a minute, they are in again. Wilson. Wilson. Wilson past Batth as if he was a statue. Wilson. Stearman on his arsé again. Wilson around the keeper and there it is. Two nil to Bournemouth and one or two fans are leaving their seats"
Prediction:
Wolves 0-8 Bournemouth
Kenny gone on Monday morning
How many points in December?
Bournemouth (h)
Sheff Weds (a)
Brighton (h)
Watford (a)
Brentford (h)
Get your 1 ratings in NOW and don't wait for Morgan to wield the axe - that might not happen until January's transfer window is closed.
You all know how he rolls.
"You all know how he rolls."
We do indeed and we have seen what a Morgan Winter sacking leads to.
The only reason for disposing of KJ before the end of this season is if it’s because we’ll be going down if we stick with him otherwise give him 46 games, see where we are, rethink in the summer if necessary.
He might not be the best footballer on the planet, but at least he "fronts-up":

Its a real test for Kenny now for sure. We haven't really done well since the end of August but for a couple of games. And to conceded 12 goals from 3 games is pretty disastrous for any team, particularly one where the manager set his seasonal target as promotion.
'He doesn't know his best team' is a cliché used to attack managers not doing well, but if you asked supporters to name Wolves current best 11, then from 20,000 surveys you would probably get 19.999 different replies.
Apart from the goalkeeper it would be difficult to say any part of the team is functioning well. The defence looks vulnerable, the midfield is being out passed and out played by every opposition, and the attack looks toothless.
Are most of the players out of form, out of confidence, or just not good enough for this level? Whatever, it is ultimately Jackett's responsibility to get the best out of the players and at the moment, he isn't. My only sympathy for him is that he has identified a string of players he wanted to bring in to strengthen his team, and the club haven't brought them in. But on the opposite side the players he has brought in during the last year haven't done much to improve us.
Are we asking or expecting too much from a team that has just got promoted? Well if we had remained superior to Brentford we would be doing ok.
Correct me if i'm wrong dj but i think kenny had every player available to him bar dicko that outclassed brentford 9 months ago, and brentford only had 2 changes

Typical fickle Wolves fans. Of 20,000 people surveyed, 19,980 of them could not be bothered to answer during this poor run and one of the 20 who did couldn't even be bothered to finish it.
If we were winning all 20,000 of those surveys would be back in fully completed.
I think that's right Wolfgang so it appears we have got worse and they have got better. And to compound that, one of their better players last year, was this year playing for us.
Our team for the match in Feb was;
Ikeme
Ricketts, Batth, Stearman, Golbourne
McDonald, Price
Henry, Jacobs, Sako
Dicko
Sad to read that Zele Ismail, who had been doing really well at Notts County, is out for the season having had surgery on his knee

Now think on the next time that some idiot (you know the one I mean) is screaming out for us to “give the kids a go” that he thought this particular kid should have been playing for us in the Prem. Three and a half seasons of additional experience and he’s being slated by fans of a Div3 team.

19999 would include Edwards. I'm sure 1 wouldn't.
Other than Siggy, Boukari, Doumbia, Sagbo, Bassong, Davis, Cassidy, Peszko and Van Damme, Ismail is the most disappointing player I've seen at Wolves in recent years. I expected far more from him.
Oh, and Mujangi-Bia as well.
Sorry, forgot about Gorkks.
And Johnson.
and of course Jonsson.
Not yet made my mind up about Graham.
Interesting comments from that Notts County forum. Maybe its an out of date view as it was September, maybe its just that forums are not a good place to get opinions from (read some views on this site as a reference), or maybe they are right and the other views are rubbish. What I know if that Ismail was a regular in their team, had been made captain in some games, had been voted MOTM on more than one occasion, and they were 3rd in League One when he got injured, their highest league position in ages.

The 20-year-old impressive loan spell with the club therefore came to an end, and he will be back at Wolves for treatment.
Looks like poor old zeli is out for 6 months, the kid must be distraught, such a promising career blighted by injury.
Good luck zeli.
