That just doesn't make any sense.
Haha Deflect if you want, but yous are pure pash!
"But yous are pure pash"
I thought the schools were back on Monday?
Celtic are 2nd. as well with a game in hand, I don't think the lower league team you are referring to have any games in hand and 15 behind the Hearts STARS & ACES. CHEERS
Happy new year Gordy. Straight in there. Boom!
I'll tell you what, there's starting to be a wee sea-change among fans of United, and I'm assuming the Dandies are the same.
Up until now people have been saying there's no chance of us or the Dons winning the league.
Now....there's always the added caveat of "Celtic will still win the league and will probably start pulling away soon....but....." and then the whisperings start about a possible title challenge. And possibly winning the thing.
Interesting times and what a fantastic league we've got this year.
All real football fans agree with you Ivan.. CHEERS
I know our leagues are rubbish in general..but they always have been. There's an assumption that because rangers are in the grubber and Celtic are adjusting to that, our whole game is in a mess. It isn't....its just ibrox propoganda.
Great game yesterday at tannadice..really looking forward to the Edinburgh derby too. Some good football being played by a lot of teams, Hamilton included.
If celtic don't pull away by the end of jan, watch attendances rocket at tannadice and pittodrie. Great stuff.
It's great to see Aberdeen and United doing well. This must be the best start to a season they've had in years eh?
Not a chance do they have of winning the title though.
Celtic are far superior and come end of February we will have pulled away.
We remain the only side capable of going on a winning streak, it's that simple
Aberdeen have won 6 in a row.
St Johnstone just had a similar winning run ended.
If you're capable of going on a winning run, why haven't you done it so far?
And weren't you meant to be at least 10 points ahead of the rest by now, as per your prediction at the beginning of December?
Mick, but even with that win you didn't pull away as expected
I think the good thing about this "challenge" is that it isn't just one team building the challenge. It's a few teams.
Alex Ferguson famously used to phone Jim McLean on a Friday night to tell him his team better win the following day because both managers knew that they couldn't fight the Old Firm on their own. They needed other teams to carry the fight. Obviously it's just Celtic now but that still rings true. We need to be in it together as it were to topple you guys.
I'm not sure I fully agree with you.
For us to win we need everyone going into it trying to take points off you, so we need to help instill belief in the other teams by taking points off you too. So in that regard, we need to start believing that although we might not necessarily be better, but on any given day we can be your equal.
As far as I can see, teams are now going into games against Celtic a little more confident that they can get results.
That's not really realistic though is it
Even when us and Aberdeen were putting together title challenges in the 80's, we were still always liable to drop points in other games.
We went 10 games in a row winning Ivan, no other team is capable of that.
We had a poor start which is why we didn't exactly pull away as we had to catch up first, which we did, easily and let's not forget if we win our game in hand we are still 2 clear.
Like I said, it's great other teams are finally stepping up to the plate but let's not kid on that come March, Aberdeen or yourselves will be in touching distance.
With the way you're playing at the moment, it's a big If.
It's like me saying that IF you were to lose your next game it would be conceivable that you'd be 4th or 5th in the league and 7 points behind Aberdeen by the time you next play.
And the scary thing for you guys is that it's not impossible that it could happen.
Ronny will still win the league but lets face facts he aint up to the job. It is a similar situation to McCoist. We can all see he is going to fail, so why are we delaying the inevitable?
Stick to talking about Rangers Timmy, you're funny that way
