yeah. this season was all about getting a system in, and getting belief back. Poch has done that.

I am not bothered about top 4, as great as it would be to get it, I do not expect us to.

cup final will be a big ask too... but even if we lost cup final and came 5th, I think that this season has been a big step in the right direction.

Poch has only been in the job 6 months remember.and it took him half of that to sort out the men from the boys. and shamefully the "men" have been the kids, and the senior pros have been the boys.

Is this a joke ?

Spurs are not known for winning but for also running, even if you have a half decent season you may make the top 4 but that would be it, you wont be winning anything "again"...so my genuine question is is this article a wind up?

if so then fair play to you got me

back to having players on the pitch that we can relate to, and that seem to care.... whether or not they win anything is not quite the point.

and just on your point of winning nothing... you do realise that spurs are one of the most decorated clubs in the country right?

Hello Spurs fans, good result at the weekend

Just wondering what is the general consensus on tomorrow nights game?

For me Liverpool have to win. A draw or defeat would almost certainly end any hope of finishing in the top 4.

I assume most on here would be happy with a draw?

But considerig your current form and the bonus of winning the NLD, I am ure some of you folk will see this as a game to be won?

......no takers except for yourself and Chronic

replying makes me a taker? we just won the NLD lad, very few things in the world could wind me up currently. a mouthy scouser is deinately not one

Sounds like we have no Coutinho, Sterling or Lucas, Spurs are 16/5 to win, this for me is the bet of the month

Cheers Chronic I would have thought a draw would be acceptable but in Kane (my namesake) you have surely the YPOTY and a guy who is scoring for fun so yes a victory is definetely possible.

I am vocal when it comes to Spurs for this exact reason (Spurs do ok but seem to get way ahead of themselves) yes you beat Arsenal, yes Kane is scoring for fun and yes you have turned up in a few big games this season but there is a long long way to go,

Beat 3-0... "Put up a fight"
Win 5-3... "Smashed Chelsea"

I'd take a draw at anfield now

Poch is doing really well and was always going to need time to impliment his methods.

With the youngster lads we've got in the side, players like Ali being brought in and changes made to the scouting department things are looking good but let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

Really like the way we are showing some bottle and bouncing back when we go behind.

Lol, we could've been 2-0 up after 10 minutes. And after last season, not losing 6-0 is an improvement. Jog on.

As an outside you are simply misreading what this is saying.

Spurs have a way of playing, in the last 10 years we have managed to claw ourselves up the table from mid-table slumber and done it in an attractive way and have some real gems of footballers entertaining us....sure we have not picked up many trophies (only 1, ).

The last couple season, post Redknapp have seen this change. Effective under AVB initially, propped up by the outstanding Bale, but then dire, boring and repeated thrashings. Sherwood again got some results but we were a mess. Early this season the commitment did not seem to be there from the players, some truly dire performances, our home form becoming an issue and the crowd getting restless.

Now this has turned around. The style is improving with every game. The total commitment is there to see. The passion. The home crowd are right behind the team and the fun is back.

Spurs are not used to winning stuff year after year so that is not our expectation right now. But at least now we look like we can compete, we are being taken seriously & we are in a final

To be fair, you were being taken seriously last season. It's not like you finished 10th. You were good except when you played a team above you when you tended to fall to pieces. Spurs have been one of the top sides for about six years now. The only difference this season is that you have more backbone, which adds another dimension to you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What excites me is that Poch seems like he could get full potential out of our players. Although Redknapp and AVB did well both had very good squads and should have done better, we certainly under performed under Redknapp, that squad should have won something (or got to a final) and we should have come third at least in 11/12.
