Chronic I love ya mate but I cannot agree.
One plan Poch as I call him, he has no plan B. No tactical changes, No system changes.
As for punching well above our weight....
We are seventh in the league despite having the sixth biggest wages. We should be finishing top 7 no way should we finish any lower due to our player quality and experience of finishing there.
We exited the fa cup to the most out of form team in the premier league....at home.
We exited the Europa against a Fiorentina team not even firing on all cyclinders.
We have reached the Carling cup final with a semi final mishap against a league one side.
I fail to see many positives in his reign, from the first game to now we play exactly the same. No progression.
This is Juande Ramos mark 2 he will be sacked next year and in will come Klinsmann. I have absoloutely no doubt. Lets just hope by some miracle like Ramos, Poch wins us a trophy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least give him the summer to get his own players in rather than having to rely on the rubbish that Baldini decided to throw the Bale money away on!

If supporters can spot he is sheet after 5 mins of watching you do wonder what our scouts were watching .
But this is nonsense isnt it? Players need time to settle. Managers need to use them properly and to their strengths otherwise the fault is in the miscommunication between the manager, scouts and levy. They need to know what to look for in players/who their targets are and why.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you seriously think Chiriches will be a much better player if given time then you obviously haven't seen him play.

How many managers do we get through before we accept the squad isn't very good?
They might be in a few years but right now we're regularly putting out the youngest side in the PL.. while some of our most experienced, expensive players contribute naff all.
LLM, I like you mate and I take some of your criticism of Poch, he doesn't change his tactics enough.. but I'd say he doesn't have enough to work with.. regardless, I don't think sacking another manager would do us any favours. Especially not for another gamble in Klinsmann.. triffic bloke but the PL is a step up for anyone.
What Bales said. The squad needs a clear out of the deadwood e.g. Chiriches, Soldado, Adebayor, Paulinho, Capoue, Kaboul with pace and crossing down the wings and creativity in the central areas coming in.
We do not need to switch managers again!
Poch will not get "his own players" he is a head coach he trains and improves the players that is what a head coach is.
Our transfer system changes in the summer but then and for the past several years our system is dealt with by several people. The head coach MIGHT get asked but there are no guarentees they are even informed before the signing.
That is football. That is the way it is. hence whats happened at Brentford they have now decided to operate in this way and warburton decided to leave because of it.
I am fuming, sorry boys.

The good news is our new recruitment team starts in the summer (well there working now obvs) It sounds very, very promising. We are scouting, statistically searching and most of all are not gonna be buying big it will be the spurs of old. Buying quality players and making them better Modric, Bale, alongside our academy starlets.
No worries LLM, it was a horror show tonight.. I notice Poch was none too pleased either.
I think (hope) part of the reason we nicked Mitchell off Southampton was because he'd worked with Poch, that it was a sign of Levy learning from his mistakes.
We've got to give this team time, I get the feeling there won't be any major changes in the type of signings we make until the stadium is built and we can pay top dollar.

Tbh mate people have put 2 and 2 and come up with 9. Mitchell coming from Southampton is a coicendence I have spoke in great detail with someone at the club about this. Levy has previous for this he basically sees something he likes then chucks money at the staff member to poach him from another club. Mitchell has quadrupled his wages with us. (funny how everyone thinks levy is tight hey?)
I cannot say too much yet but it all looks promising, someone high up is leaving in the summer too in regards to recruitment. Thank the lord!

I think it is great mate. You buy players for the club not for a "system". Poch is very niche as is someone like Tony Pulis. We need to buy high energy high effort players for Pochs system to work so if we went out and got 22 players for that system what if he then left? We would have 22 players that fit into one system but might struggle to fit into another.
We can build a squad for the future. Not just one season.
Financially it makes sense to me. I really like the European model.
High energy players could make any system work, surely?
It's not like he disregards those with technique..
Obviously you're not a fan LLM but you must agree this is the fittest Spurs team we've had in a very long time, got to credit the coach for that at least..

Yeah true, Pulis' approach is very niche, but having fit, hard working players should be a starting point for any team.
I've faith in Poch - the fact we've barely had an injury is a facking miracle to be honest, imagine if he had a few more genuine top class players at his disposal
