I think that he will, but I don't believe that he tried to spit on Cisse.

It would be surprising in a way if he was, because it's similar to Costa in the sense that they can't really prove it

I think yes. I'm not 100% whether he tried to spit at him or not but they can't suspend one and not the other and Cisse looks like he's going to be getting a ban.

I think that they can suspend one without the other. There is no doubt about what Cisse did, but there is in Evans' case. I think that they will still both get banned though.

Without doubt, he will be charged.

Like Elvis though I don't feel he spat at cisse, if he wanted to he would have.

I hope so

Of course

Evans will certainly be banned for at least six games.

The “defence” that he is somehow is unable to control his bodily functions has not done him any favours either.

In a word, dunno

I know in the queens English that's two words

The more I look at the video, the more I think Evans didn't intentially spit at Cisse but I also believe Cisse's reacted the way he did only because he felt Evans had spat at him. if Evans hadn't of spat on the ground, chances are Cisse wouldn't of spat at him.

I can't see how you can ban one and not the other. Both will get done but Evans can count himself very unlucky

Not really, most footballs spit on the pitch.

I don't think he mentioned the controlling of his bodily functions either.

Are you a bit dense? He said that Evans didn't mean to spit at Cisse. What has that got to do with not being able to control your bodily functions.

He actually says he wasn't spitting at Cisse, he says he was just spitting as every player does during a game.

Might be worth watching rather than just reading the headline

Does anyone really believe in light of the intensity of the exchange between the players, that Evans was simply and routinely spitting on the pitch, and it had nothing to do with the altercation?

The video evidence is damning.

I agree with Scholes that it was a bit of a reflex action but if they have charged him they will ban him because that's what they do.

Nice deflection there. At least you seem to appear that you were talking rubbish. Typical headline reader.

I personally think that Evans was spitting at the floor/Cisse's feet to show what you thought about Cisse's reaction. Not too bothered if he gets banned though.

posted on 6/3/15

He spat, right by someones face,i think he missed tbh, who he was just arguing with over a tackle, hence why that person spat back. He's getting banned.

Clearly he spat at Cisse and to say he spat downwards is not a defence, the guy was on the floor so could hardly spit upwards

Scholes has come out and made himself look a right caant in defending him
---------------------------

Yes but he didn't spit at Cisses did he? He spat on the floor/his feet. And there was no real force in the spitting action either. It was a casual spit on the floor - the type that players do hundreds of times throughout the game.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe it was an attempt to spit on Cisse.
