Who ever is managing his career (I guess it's his father?!) should be shot dead! He has been making some awful decisions in the last 2 seasons. Could have been a very promising talent.
Now though.....

Agreed. Didn't he decide to go to Hull over Inter Milan in the summer?
Yeah, cheers dad.
this kid makes bad decision after bad decision
I'm struggling to think of something he got right
That being said if he finds form over the next few years and is banging them in regularly, his International career isn't over. He'd get called up. Results trump everything at the end of the day.

I suppose it'll all depend on who we have in his position, and if the manager likes him.
Take Carrick for example. First team regular at United for 8 years, winning 13 trophies but will only get a look in for England now Gerrard & Lampard are gone.

I don't think he was ever in line to sign for Inter. I think that was more his dad knowing a few people over there and him hawking him there to drum up a bit of publicity and flush out a bigger club than those interested in him.
If Inter really wanted him, they would have offered him a contract to trump Hull. If he turned down an offer from Inter to sign for Hull, well he and his dad are just daft. Or just wanted a bigger pay packet.
Carrick's not a goal scorer though, I think it would be a different situation.
You can be more subjective about team value and performances for a holding type midfielder like Carrrick, but if you're getting goals/assists regularly it really can't be ignored.
All that being said, I feel bad for him. He was a highly rated prospect who keeps falling further down before he even gets a chance.

I think he has an attitude problem or he just isn't Premiership quality.
When he signed for Hull, he signed a 2 year contact. 3 games later, he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest. They recalled him early due to injures, and he still never played. They loaned him back out again last month.
He has that "You know who my dad is, right?" look about him...

Fergie always said Paul Ince was daft as a brush.
If you get the chance to play for your country at what ever level, you take it, as far as I am concerned. You never know what the future will hold and if you will get that opportunity again.
Remember that pillock from Blackburn who went to the Potatoes. I don't even remember his name now, but I remember him refusing to play for the U21's because he had got into the full squad.
Does he actually play for anyone any more?

Thanks Kaisers.
Bentley's biggest crime was to douse Harry Redknapp with a bucket of water. After that he was persona non grata and Redknapp effed Bentleys Spurs career up.
