Well all Brook was saying after the fight was that he wants Khan. He even asked the crowd if they wanted to see him fight Khan and there were huge cheers.

Well all I can tell you is what Brook was saying after the fight and he made it very clear that he wants Khan.

Whether Khan takes Brook up on that challenge remains to be seen. Afterall Brook is the world champion. With a world title on the line I don't see why Khan wouldn't want that fight.

As I said before Khan having that IBF would give him huge leverage in the welterweight division, especially when you factor in his already big name.

The likes of Floyd would surely have to fight Khan next if he was IBF World Champ.

Wembley is only supposedly available in mid June for a boxing clash hence why Eddie did not mention early June. 2-3 weeks before Ramadan is doable for sure.

-----------------------------------

Does the fight have to happen 2 or 3 weeks before Ramadan starts?

Wouldn't it be ok if it starts a few days before? I'm not an expert in Ramadan so just putting the question out there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm no sport scientist but when you are about to have a month which entails fasting for 19-18 hours per day as a sportsman you will need to prepare beforehand.

Khan was given the option to fight Floyd in September last year but he could not accept because Ramadan had finished a couple of weeks earlier and his body and physique was not ready.

Khan V Brook is the biggest fight in UK since Benn V Eubank. There is genuine hate between the two and there will be no need for play acting like we say with Froch and Groves and Bell ew and Cleverly.

Khan should take the Brook fight. If he wins that then he's got some kind of leverage to fight either FMJ or Pacquaio. At the moment his only bargaining chip is the fact that he's forever running his mouth about how he can beat them.

Vik of course khan is ducking Brook.. Why wouldn't he fight him. Because he knows he's got a chance of losing and seeing his Mayweather fantasy go up in smoke.. Why is khan target junior welterweights in Broner.

The only issue i have with khan is his sudden religious tendencies. No disrespect meant but if he didn't participate in ramadan for one year would it make a difference? If Khan said he would not do ramadan this year then that suddenly opens up some big possibilities for potential fights
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well you said it Vik. With all respect to Ramadan the boxing world doesn't stop because of it.

If Khan wants to become world champion and face the likes of Floyd then surely he's going to have to be willing to compromise a bit.

Even if this Brook fight were to happen in mid June would it be the end of the world for Khan to miss a few days of Ramadan?

Ramadan goes on for quite a while as far as I'm aware.

VIK from the outside that is a fair point but he will be frowned upon if he misses Ramadan for a big money fight. Khan has a lot of Muslim supporters globally and missing Ramadan is image suicide.

Bottom line is that when Brook took this fight with this bum it made the Khan summer fight difficult to arrange. Now he's trying to force Khan to make all the sacrifices. Not going to happen.

It's not really sudden. He's always done Ramadan. Regardless of what he does outside of it. He's like most Muslims. If he keeps on practicing Ramadan in favour of a Mayweather fight then fair play to him although I think if Mayweather came calling, he'd give up Ramadan in a heartbeat.

Vik, Leo Santa cruz is a haymon fighter. That doesn't mean khan is ok to target him.

Has Khan always not fought during Ramadan?

It wasn't Brooks fault the number 1 contender was jo jo Dan.. He took this fight to get it out the way . And he's now calling out the good welterweights. Khan is trying to duck and dodge every possible threat and worm his way to a Mayweather fight with the easiest route possible. Not gna happen. Floyd doesnt even acknowledge him anymore. He's further away from. A Floyd fight than Brook is imo. Pacman is different. He could get a fight with him

Brook had no obligation to fight Dan. As a new champion he the flexibility to fight who he wants but he took easy option. There was no number one contender clause.

He fought Garcia in July back in 2012
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Islamic calendar is shorter by 10 or 15 days so every year Ramadan moves earlier in the year.
