Perth, I'm not sure if I'm happy or potting it right now.
The more I read about RB and how they view football,
the more I get worried. But, we weathered Bates, GFH,
and now Massimo. Bring it on.

Personally, I was hoping the Gladiator from down under would step up and buy us.

It would take someone with more money than Gladiator man to resurrect Leeds.

So LIW if it's true this time are you happy?

LorraLorimer, he would bring others with big money just as he did with Packer junior to buy the Aussie rugby club.

Red Bull would bring the money needed.

But, how would the possible club culture changes
sit with the fans? Using the popular model
'Look at their history to see what's coming'
they buy clubs to front RB the product, change
kits to fit and club names and badges. If it happens,
ja, YEP, waccoe, twitter in general, will explode.
Again. Guess we all wait and see.

I think the Crowe thing was never a serious option.

Red Bull would most likely want to plaster Red Bull everywhere but do we care after 10 years in the doldrums? It may be our best option by far, assuming it's true and Cellino sells.

Red Bull will invest heavily at the cost of striping the clubs identity. Sell your soul for a return to the big time?

"Sell your soul for a return to the big time?"

That's a massive question. I doubt many fans
would say yes.

Is it redbull or the guy who owns redbull?

There's lots of chatter about both being behind it.
If it's the bloke on his own, might be a better outcome.

Would you rather be Red Bull Leeds or Leeds Red Bull?

It would be hard to accept any name or colour change, or even ground name change.

But what other options are there?

Even getting promoted and getting prem money hardly seems to guarantee much these days.
Without serious investment we have to be content with building a team and feeding off scraps

I'm no Leeds fan but I do find the whole red bull link very interesting. The top Football clubs are now corporate machines as we know. this kind of link up could be exactly what Leeds need from an investment standpoint to regain their status in the game and be competitive again.

IM really looking forward to see how They respond in New york with the money being plowed into New Tork City. The Red Bulls may well have a huge fight in their hands to maintain their status as NYs team. I think even something as sime as their branding of the team as "new York" despite them not even playing in NY shows the corporate branding that they are all about

But what is selling the soul? Will they change how Leeds fans act? Chant, turn up in their droves to give opposition home fans a lesson in support? Will they replace the famous song with K-ci and the sunshine band?

The soul of any club is its fanbase, and no fanbase on Earth, can attest the character strength we have in ours.

As for the "image" I would be willing to bet they wont change the kit ala Cardiff.

Name...debatable as i think they may add the "red bull"

Money wise, i have no reason to believe they will want to have their name attached to a poor team, so one can assume they would throw money at success.

The only worry is that we are by far the biggest entity they have dealt with, and like Cellino found out, not one for the feint hearted.

Mike, of course we can't predict what they would do if they did buy the club but we can look at what they have done with other clubs as a barometer.

They own 4 teams to my knowledge. Each has 'Red Bull' in their name, they all wear the same kit of red and white, they have the same corporate badge and most, if not all play in a 'red bull arena' or similar named stadium.

Salzburg are an interesting one. They were reformed as a team who were founded in 2004 or 2005. A lot of fans jumped ship and started supporting a new team that represented the original pre RB one, similar to AFC Wimbledon / MK Dons.

Your right that the fans are a large part of the culture, but the corporate machine will have a huge effect on the identity of the team

Can I just say that I do not want the name of the club to change, the name of the stadium to change or the colour of the strip to change.

That is a personal view.

But it has to be said, whether it is controversial or not, we have changed our strip before and success came.

I am more concerned that we do not embrace change like some other clubs have. Take Arsenal (Emirates) and Manchester City (Etihad) after all they are still called Arsenal and Manchester City.

I could certainly think of worse than Red Bull.

This is the corporate age, I would hate for us to be left behind. Our history would still be the same, perhaps we should look to some change in order to bring new success. To build a new history.

I am sure that if Red Bull came in they would perhaps accept the views of the fan base a bit more readily than we have been used to.

Things can improve with change, it doesn't have to be a negative thing.

Just an opinion of course.

Eric I agree that although I wouldn't want any changes to the name or colours I would be disappointed if Red Bull bought someone else and they roared on to success. Forest Red Bulls or whatever.

If we moved to a new stadium such as have Arsenal and Man City them I'd be ok with it being called Red Bull stadium or whatever.

Football has changed so let's not get left behind.

Great points Eric.

I would not be bothered if RB came in and ER
became 'Red Bull Stadium' or 'Arena'. It opens
revenue streams.

I really really don't want our name changed. Stadium is ok to change ..... just, but Leeds red bulls would be awful

Red Bull Leeds
Play in whatever colours you want
Call the stadium whatever you want

AFTER WE ARE BACK IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Thats all i ask. Life is too short to worry about names.

According to Adam Pope, Cellino contacted him and said Red Bull are not buying Leeds United.
