Moores can't be accountable that england do not have a class spinner or the wicketkeeper missing a simple stumping. Anyway the word is strauss will come into the new cricket supremeo role so even if moores does survive he will only have a very basic role with no decisions to make.
benny.. Since Moores returned as England coach.. hes been incontrol of what about 10 different competitions and we have won 1..thats after a poor world cup..
Even last summer against India.. we were poor for the first 2 tests..
Its amazing we even won that.. hes not upto it.
Moores got picked. because of how he was treat last time. He was removed because of all the KP business.
He wasn't apparently given a fair crack of the whipp.
his form of coaching is mind bending.. Looking at the stats. programming batsmen to play like this and bowlers to play like that..
Cricket in played on the field not on the computer.
What annoys me the most. is the two most important players in the team are coach and captain.. and they both have personalities of wet lettuces.
Clarke and lehmann Vs Cook and Moores..
England will never employ someone with a bit of passison.. because he may upset the barrel.
When or If England lose ths current game.. It will be the same.. The captain will come out and praise the players.. The coach will praise the captain. and everything is easy.
I don't know why England didn't at least try Rashid for this series. He may be tripe but we will never know if he doesn't play.
Moore's was average at best, Flower and Fletcher were both twice the coach he was. I personally want Allan Donald as Englands bowling coach if he can be coaxed from the South Africa job he has at present and for him to work with someone like Steve Waugh as the new coach for England. I personally don't think that any English ex-cricketers stand out for me as decent coaches
They may well do after this performance.
A complete farce of a tour, when we should have been trying out players to win the Ashes, instead they serve up this dross.
We have learnt nothing from this tour that we did not already know.
Moores coaches like your p-e teacher.. play with a straight bat..look for the ball coming down at ya.. and do F k all.
We need a change of coach.. we will get hammered by Australia if we don't.

England have been overly reliant on their bowling/fielding bailing out their incompetant batsmen since summer 2012. As usual the batsmen lost us this game and had buttler not missed the stumping and a decent spinner was available it would've papered over the cracks much like our 2013 ashes win
Only positive of today is Moores must go.
Have to go with a foreign coach next. Stephen Fleming?
2 unbeaten test series now under moores.
I don't know that this is down to Moore's coaching style, I think it's far more basic than that: the coach and captain aren't picking the right players.
Trott is done. It was fair enough to give him a test or two just to see if he had anything to give, but I think after the first two tests it was clear he was done. Lyth should have played this test. Then there's the question of lower middle order. Ballance, Bell and Root aren't going anywhere, clearly, but who's at 6? Ali? OK, he did well last summer but in this series he was poor with the ball and as a batsman alone is he worth his place in the team? I wouldn't say so. The same goes for Ben Stokes, if you aren't going to bowl him, why's he there? He's not worth his place as a batsman alone. And then there's Buttler. Simply put, i don't rate him. Buttler is a luxury England can't afford. He'd be fine if you had formidable lineup ahead of him and his only job was to score quick runs towards the end of the innings, but England aren't in that position. His glovework also leaves a lot to be desired. Cook has to go as captain.
England need to pick there best 6 batsmen, best WK and best 4 bowlers. Is that so hard?
I think the lineup should be:
Cook
Lyth
Ballance
Bell
Root (C)
Taylor
Foster (WK)
Woakes
Tredwell
Broad
Anderson
I want KP bk in the team. Bring flair and fear to the team. Get rid of Ballance for now put root at 3 and bring bk KP at 4.
Oh and I'd get rid of Broad too.
Go back to basics. 6 batsmen, wicketkeeper, best 4 bowlers not worrying about their batting ability.
Fleming wouldn't come, he's happy to do his 6 weeks of IPL and still pocket the same amount of money.
"2 unbeaten test series now under moores. ..."
Yes but against WHO? A really bad India side who are getting whupped by most teams and a pretty average WI side who are getting better but still we should have trounced. No make no mistake we will be pulverized by Oz this year and I also think beaten by NZ if we don't change now
4 bowlers?? you gotta be kidding?? theres now way a 4 man attack will bowl teams out on flat wickets.. and that's what most test wickets are these days..
changing wicket keeper.. foster? am sure hes made mistakes.
Buttler is an excellent keeper. he made one mistake yesterday ONE so far as I can recall. in his test career.
Cook
Lyth
Ballance
Root
Bell
Moeen
Buttler
Stokes
Plunkett
Broad
Anderson
I would swap Root and Bell around..
and Buttler and Stokes.
I would give stokes the permission to be more attacking as a batsman at 8.. he gets caught half in half and gets caught out to daft shots.
I admire Jordan as a fielder but hes offers nothing much with the ball.. You don't need 2 bowlers that do the same job as in Stokes and Jordan.
England's team above looks about right. However Stokes. Not sure we need an all rounder when we already have 5 decent batsmen (plus Moeen and Buttler).
Jimmy and Broad are getting on. They need help at times and we need replacements. Not that I am suggesting anyone mind. Just picking faults
I see Cook is having a go at the chairman now.. Its all a way of trying to hide the below par prefromances.. I hope the ecb have the spine and sack Moores.. they wont have.. Ina way I hope England rot so Cook can p iss off along with Moores..if that means losing the ashes series so be it.
how dare the chairman question England for failing to beat the 8th ranked team in the world.
Cook
Lyth
Ballance
KP
Root
Bell
Buttler / Bairstow
Rashid
Plunkett / Jordan
Broad / Stokes
Anderson
This gives a blended top 6 of quick scoring stroke players (KP, Root, Lyth) and players with stickability (Cook, Ballance, Bell), 2 spinning options, 1 specialist and 1 part time, pace and swing in Plunkett, Broad and Jimmy as well as plenty of runs down the order.
For me Trott is finished and Moeen is not a good enough spinner nor one of our best 6 batsmen. Lyth and Rashid are untried but I can not see a better option to open or to be the specialist spinner.
