I've just seen they made The Jesus Rolls😱 How did I miss that!

Coen Bros are hit and miss for me. I liked Hudsucker Proxy, Big Lebowski, Fargo, Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple and The Ballad of Buster

Coens - love True Grit, No Country and Inside Lllewyn Davis, hate some of their supposed classics like Arizona and Barton Fink though.

What about David Lynch?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not for everyone, and very much a mood dependent film maker for me - I rarely put his films on for a good time. Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks are on the right side of challenging, Inland Empire and Eraserhead do little for me though.

Never seen Elephant Man.

Dexter talk, finally!SPOILERS BELOW

Is New Blood S2 confirmed?

S1 was really good until the final episode, then it just became embarrassing, tbh. So much stuff didn't make any sense.

It was kinda like the writers had forgotten what happened before. None of the BHB bodies had the needle mark, he didn't use ketamine on them either, so why was she able to just google it? She spent all series looking for these missing women, found one and then was suddenly not bothered anymore? And Dexter would have been absolutely fine, he had gotten out of far worse scrapes so why in Gods name would he kill Logan? The only was for Harrison to move past his trauma is to kill his dad? That's not gonna pile on anymore. And to tease Batista, who just happens to have that file on hand, to only have him never show up was incredibly annoying.

Eurgh. I was actually really on board with Dexter dying, but the way it happened was just rushed and dumb and tbh I'd have liked to seen the fallout from his actions. People he knew coming to terms with what he did and balancing the good vs evil aspect of it, rather than just googling it and then suddenly hating him more than a serial killer that's been taking out young women in your town for decades.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that last episode was utterly shambolic which is a shame as it was so good until then. As you say there was no need to kill Logan, as soon as that happened I knew that the rest was going to be an utter shltshow.

The biggest tragedy here is that this new series was made precisely because the original show ended on such a bum note. And this new series was all set to turn that around until that awful ending. As if the writers of the show were determined to end the show badly.

Obviously the plan is to carry the show forward with Harrison but that isn't going to get the sort of traction that Dexter gets and will no doubt die an early death after a season.

Worst film ever. If you could bottle a nauseating disease and distribute it through the medium of film. You’d get eraserhead. I hate that film.

Off topic but went on early 2000s childhood music binge - and while I went through my usual favourites like Kanye West, The Strokes, White Stripes, Amy Winehouse, LCD Soundsytem, Killers, Gorillaz, early Coldplay, Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys etc etc...

Also went through some artists I never cared for at the time, and tbh - I was an idiot, I missed out on some stuff.

Like, it's not cool to say but Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone is a legit banger, and I quite liked Kelis' stuff.

Sound of the underground by girls aloud was always a song I hated to love. Absolute banger.

Are we going to go on about how some peoples tastes deteriorate with age? Fine. I agree. I’ve seen it happen with many people.

Im not sure it’s the better of the 2 volcano movies that came out at the time. The other with the creative name “Volcano” with Tommy lee jones

Volcano > Dante’s Peak

Especially for the scene with the guy jumping from the underground train
