Anybody checked out the fear index yet on sky Atlantic

Not yet, do you know roughly what it's about?

Watched King's Man yesterday and was slightly disappointed. Stylistically it didn't quite fit with the first two movies either I thought. Lacked the comedy and was very serious in parts without giving too much away.

Watched this yesterday on Amazon

Was ok... Not sure it's rated at 8.4 though

Have you seen the original? If so congrats. You’ve seen the only one worthwhile.

I do want to give it a go - the new scream really let me down, so I’m in need of a good horror fix.

It’s upset me that it’s straight to Netflix, though. I feel like cinema is dying (for the 20th time)

Well obviously of course i have seen the original, I’m a horror buff. The original texas is my favourite horror film of all time. I actually quite enjoyed the 1st 2 remakes too. The 3rd remake rubbish. The straight to Netflix one isn’t that bad.

Each to their own dude, I thought the new Scream was excellent. Best one since the original.

I doubt it was financially via for cinema, it’s quite a cultish film, and most wouldn’t have shelled out to watch it at the cinema, but will stream it.

My two favourite horrors of all time are the original Halloween and the Shining.

More recent stuff I’ve seen that I liked:

The conjuring;
IT (actually thought the old mini-series was better);
Lake Eden;
Babadook;
Calibre;
Apostle;
The Ritual;
Rec;
I also really like the Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity 1-4, but I’m aware there’s a history buff on here that hates found footage, and I have a sneaking suspicion it might be you, Rtm, so I may have just committed blasphemy!!

Definitely missed myriad others

The original scream was crap imo. I won’t bother with a remake.

You're mistaken. It's excellent.

One of the best explorations of grief in a movie I have ever seen.

No it isn't - sorry it had no car chases in it.

I was hooked from the senicide scene, found it riveting from that moment to the end to be honest.

Clearly, I mean Hamlet is regarded as one of the greatest plays in the English language for a reason.
