ARE, reasonably assessing the situation, we need a player off the books in Balotelli who is Italian, played for Inter before, while we want one of Inter's players.
It makes sense to at least try a player plus cash deal. It's not as though we are begging for players on loan is it?
This article makes zero sense if you think about it. We want Balotelli gone and Kovacic in. Think about it ARE, this means we will need another forward, and will have cash to get one.

Whoever is blinkered it's ARE not being able to see the big picture.
We need another striker instead of Balotelli.
Say we sign a striker for big money £30m. Cash has gone out from Liverpool FC and we are then sitting with Balotelli and new striker.
Everyone knows we need to offload Balotelli, so won't pay out for him.
Leaving Lfc at a disadvantage. Better to try and get rid without taking on more players. We are in a better position then.

they've been the most successful team in baseball since Henry took over. went from no titles in a century to 3 (the most of any club over that period) with 3 completely new teams.
They're fooking legends and geniuses.

I think FSG have the right intentions and are gradually improving the club's foundations, but have made lots of mistakes along the way.
With all this new commercial revenue and sponsorship that people keep banging on about, we should have a monstrous transfer budget... After all FSG said that all sponsorship revenue generated would go directly into the clubs transfer kitty. I dont know how much we have but I do know that NewBalance/Warrior and Standard Chartered sponsorship alone generate £50m per year for the club. Add that to Dunkin Doughnuts, Subway and Guarda Indonesia, and I'd say we have the best part of £60-70m per year?
So tell me why we are signing free agents and offering swap deals? Something is a miss here.
