I wasn't too keen on the idea at first but I was at the semi final in Wembley and he was brilliant, he was all over the pitch, great touch and movement, agree with above he's not just a big target man he has much more to his game.

I recall the post match views of the FA cup final and Liverpool fans were begging Rodgers to stay away from the Striker. He was anonymous for the 90 minutes on the big stage.

I did in fairness as I read the original post wrong, I assumed in a reply you would, like a normal person, refer to what the original post referred to but I guess you're a bit different.

And I doubt you gauged much Liverpool fan reaction, certainly not as much as I did, to make the sweeping statement that Liverpool fans were en mass "begging" BR to stay away from Benteke.

Fans got hyped over Firmino, who is a much bigger risk that Benteke.

Ridiculous comment

Benteke can be temperamental it would seem. From what I have seen play as a team he is a worldbeater, with Belgium where individuals seem to takeover as useless as Lukaku.

However he is quality and with the supply he should get at Liverpool he will be a success big time.

Whether it happens, it does seem so at moment, you wont regret it, only drawback will be fee as Tim will want to buy his own

Not the ones being mentioned in Part-Ex especially.

the best thing about buying a player to weaken the opposition is that it gives you a greater chance of 6 points over them in the league too

as for the FFP problem, im pretty sure now the rules have been relaxed to appease megabucks owners, FSG will just chuck in the £45M to stop us falling foul of the rules, and just take it back as dividends when the cash is available.

they are hardy going to risk the club being fined

I'm warming to Benteke. We have pacey forwards in Ings, Origi and Sturridge but very little else, and certainly no real power or aerial threat which Benteke brings more of than almost any other striker.

Hopefully they will all stay fit so we have the maximum amount of options available to us.
