Great signing for us, fills a space in the team that we needed addressing and we didn't get ripped off!

KLS yes good fee, usually for English players it costs a lot more.

Premier league proven as well.

Good player and exactly what we need.

Excellent signing, didn't think we'd get him with competition so done well here.

Good player, and an English player being sold for a reasonable amount

Around £2mil of the fee going to Palace

He'll do well for ya

Definitely needed a solid right back and Clyne should provide that
I'm happy enough

He'll flop harder than Lovren.

With Johnson off and Flanno's injuries it's a position that we had to strengthen this summer.

I'm delighted with this signing. Very good young player at a very reasonable price

Lets give Lovren next season to see if he is actually a flop

Good player, good price and in a position we needed to strengthen.

This feels weird! I like it.

Haha, Clyne doesn't say he turned anyone down - just that he's happy to be joining us!

To be honest, however the signing came about I'm pretty chuffed with it. £12.5m seems a very reasonable price. Almost unheard of considering he's English and young.

Good signing. We just need a good LB and (at least on paper) we'll have a very strong defence.

We wont while skrtel is our first choice RCB

but thats an entirely different thread.

You don't rate Moreno?

TOOR.

IMO, Moreno's decent going forward but bordering on being a liability defensively. If we play four at the back with no quality DM then he'll struggle.

Neil knows his stuff

Clyne's former boss at Crystal Palace, Neil Warnock , on BBC World Service
"For me, he's the best defensive right-back that we've got in England - by a mile. And now he'll move up a gear, he can go to the top level. It doesn't bother him, it doesn't faze him.
"Defensive-wise he sticks to you, he's like a rash when he marks these top players. I think it's a position that Liverpool have lacked in the last couple of years and I think he'll revel in it.
And eventually [England manager] Roy Hodgson will make him his number one. You can't tell me that Phil Jones is better than Clyne at right-back."

He made a few big mistakes but that's normal, considering his age, coming into a new squad and league. He showed he has huge potential, in my opinion. You don't get to play for Spain if you're a liability. I feel he'll cement his place in the first team for them in a few years after proving to be successful with us.

Good solid signing.

He's not the greatest passer and he's suspect defending the back stick but all in all very happy with it.

Moreno Sakho Skrtel Clyne suits me down to the ground. Delighted with that back four.

Do people realise he's 24. Not that young tbh. Hopefully he does well

Its like those guys that call Ings a quality young signing when he's a year younger than Firmino
