City are just buying trouble.

I don't care what they buy if it fills our clubs pockets £50m

Bill Shankly talked about players deserving to go to jail for not being committed to the club. It's pîssing on his memory to keep this little gobshite at the club any more.

"In other news looks like Manquillo has been sent back to Madrid. Quite harsh as he did very little wrong."

Not harsh at all. He showed absolutely nothing to suggest he was worth keeping. In fact Sterling, Henderson, Markovic and Ibe were prefered out of position, instead of him. That speaks volumes.

On Sterling, I'll wait before I believe newspaper articles.

Is there any reason for this? Must be some clashing behind the scenes.

Very poor again from Sterling. He wants to leave fair enough, but he's a Liverpool player so must honour his duties up until a deal is agreed for him to leave.

In mirror as well from Maddock who has close ties with lfc. What a horrible little sheet sterling is.

"Not in the right frame of mind"?

What is that supposed to mean, typical agent peddled crap.

If he doesn't go on tour as per his contractual obligations then fine him for not going on tour. Also let him know that as long as is a Liverpool player he is expected to do as he is told.

£35k isn't a lot to the club, but it is to Sterling. That's his weekly wage, let's see if his agent puts his hand in his pocket to help Sterling out.

Will be good to see the club take this sort of action. Pathetic from Sterling, a widely renowned footballer not wanting to play football around the world.

Ha..this is brilliant! If i was br i would simply say fair enough, BUT; if you dont participate in the tour then i dont think LFC will be in the right frame of mind to pay your wages.

Spot on GB. As long as he is a Liverpool player, the little should board the plane or forfeit his wages.

Best scenario for me would be if city decided against signing sterling. Stays with us and for 6 months gets told to train with the u16s.

I would give him extra training esp on weekends, in fact id do everything i could as a club to piz him of for the 6 months. Ram home he WORKS for lfc not the other way round, in short id break him!

ARE.

Don't agree at all about his attitude. He's never once downed tools despite the barrage of criticism from the media and fans. He always gave up the first weeks of off-season to play in meaningless England games.

If I was being paid less than a third of my workmates for doing the same job, I'd want to move as well.

That's clearly not the reason he wants to move, considering the widely known fact that he turned down and offer the treble his wages.

It's amazing how you have the audacity to turn this situation into the club messing it up. Not surprising however.

Sterling is only being paid 1/3 of his club mates because he hasn't signed a new contract? You can hardly use that as a stick to beat Liverpool when they've offered a new contract.

________
I think it's his general demeanour around the pitch and I noticed it before the contract row blew up. I think we don't know the whole story but even looking back to the infamous Liverpool documentary you could see some friction and attitude from Raheem.

As I said before I saw a documentary featuring Shanks and he would have been disgusted with Raheems refusal to tour. I think he would have been excluded from the club until the first buyer could be found. I think criminal was the word the great man used.

I know it's not all one way traffic but the boys crossed the line now.

Times have changed ARE. You can't just throw a player away when they don't do as they're told, it will cost you millions and set you back further behind those ahead of you.

I can understand the vitriol above with regards to his apparent attitude. Whether it's of his own volition or whether his agent is pulling the strings is immaterial. The fact is, he wants out. I've got no problem with that. I detest the very idea that a player is wearing Red when he doesn't even want to be at the club.
I feel no animosity about the boy, that would be facile.
Our club has set down their price on him leaving, however. It's either met by City or he stays, Far East tour or not.
While he remains an LFC player, he does as he's told or he is fined.
Let's see who blinks first.
