Allan Clarke was the best
Tony Yeboah second
Mick Jones third

You missed John Charles.

Growing up in the 90's I will always say Yeboah.

I did miss him, because I never saw him

Intentionally

Jimmy Floyd, Michael Bridges, Mark Viduka and Jermaine Beckford just to name a few recent ones. Well recent good ones anyway!

Sir Ken

I only listed the few otherwise you'd end up listing everone.

Couldn't agree more. But in fairness he wasn't with us that long. Great footballer.

Most talented winger for sure.

As for striker?

Yeboah, 1 in 2 striker, big game player, good dribbler, good in the air, inside the box, outside the box, strong and could get away from defenders. Not seen a more dominant striker in a Leeds shirt.

Well when you listed Steve Morison and Billy Paynter I thought listing everyone was your intention and you just had a bad memory!

They may not have been that great for us, but you can't have a list of great Leeds strikers and not include Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler .............. I'd argue they're as good as any of those previously listed, if not better.

posted on 27/7/15

I listed them two because of their position in the esteem of some.

I would add Duncan MacKenzie too.

Good call Ian Rush

May I comment.

As a youngster, I always wanted to be Alan Clake when we went down the rec for a kick about.

My mates were Mick Jones and Peter Osgood and Peter Bonetti (both Chelsea).

ERIC, no carthorses?..

Even though one was good enough to get on our top scorers list!.

My Kingdom for a Horse!.

"Viduka", no thanks, when it worked great, but when the rot set in he crapped on us big time!..

Surely not all Australian's are like what we had are they?.

Yeboah, like I've said in the past, I new what we were getting and he didn't let me down!..

If ever there was a gem, he was it!.

Eric.. I was a Wednesday fan at the time. I come from Sheffield and moved to Retford, Notts when I was 10.

If I chose a Wednesday player it was David Sunley or Mick Prendergast. However, when you are a kid you wanted to be the star of the day.

I started following Forest in '73 (after moving to Nottingham) and was fortunate to follow them all over Europe. Good times that I cannot see returning anytime soon

good story webbo, kind of sad though but no one can ever take away that european success.

my favorite striker ever is Robbie fowler but not with leeds. yeboah I wasn't able to see much of, but what I did wow.

Yeboah is my favourite striker - purely because of "those" goals.

I remember both vividly and where I was at the time. Not at either match, away with the forces, but remember watching both games in a pub. The stunned silence followed by the roars of disbelief, by just about every person in the pub (just outside Oxford!) was something i'll never forget.

What a beast .......................

Not a striker, but as a kid Tony Currie was my favourite player - I thought he was our Pele !!!!

Alan Clarke...what a finisher
Tony Yeboah...at his best unstoppable
Mick Jones...great foil for Clarke and gave everything for Leeds
Lee Chapman....Not the most gifted but was instrumental in us winning the league in 92

Lucky enough to see them all `live` on many occasions

John Charles has to be there too. Never saw him play unfortunately.

Oh and I didn`t see your top three before I posted this Eric!
