Posters only consider Bolasie better than Townsend because Bolasie doesn't play for Spurs.
If Townsend played for Palace, we'd be saying he was better than what we have.

His shooting is dreadful. Wasn't his 1st goal in 13/14 and cross that evaded everyone?!
Imagine a crap hybrid of all of our wingers:
- Chadli's no pace
- Lamela's feeble upper-body strength
- Lennon's daisy-cutter crosses
- Townsend's wayward shooting

I’m not sure I accused anyone of anything . It just seems common practice on here for posters to claim players of other clubs are better than what we’ve got when there isn’t really any evidence of it. I think posters remember that one trick Bolasie did against Eriksen rather than actually knowing anything about his all round play.
Just a quick comparison:
Bolasie
Last season he played 34 times, getting 4 goals (1 in every 8.5).
The season before he played 29 times, zero goals (0%).
Townsend
Last season he played 17 league games, getting 2 goals (1 in every 8.5)
The season before he played 25 times, 1 goal (> 0%).
These are not the results I would expect to see from a more dangerous and more intelligent player. It just smacks as being like-for-like, or what I said earlier which was that if the players were the other way around you’d be saying the same about Townsend as what you’re saying about Bolasie (and vice-versa).
That is the point i'm making.

What does it matter wether I have seen palace on sky or at selhurst? I saw palace on TV atleast 8 occasions last season and all these games Bolasi played and impressed. I have watched Andros townsend plenty and he flatters to deceive. Like I said, Bolasi is a better player than Townsend .... And yes I have seen palace at selhurst. No not regularly.

If anyone went to the palace away game last year you would of seen Bolasi run rings around us. He was an absolute menace that day and we couldn't get near him. I have never seen Townsend put in a dominating display like that for us

Evening chaps. This Bolasie rumour aint going away so many of us are resigned to him leaving. As we all know, he's a fantastic player on his day but beyond frustrating the majority of the time. For all the flair, his end product and goal tally really is poor tbh but that could easily be down to us and the pressure of 'establishing ourselves' in this division. That said, he frightens the life out of the opposition which is a huge asset. Price? I'd say 15mil min, i doubt we'd sell him for anything less.
