Simpson- Playing like a REAL RB.
Yeah Simpson has looked good, much better than RDL although he doesn't offer much going forward. We are not pressing high up the field which is good because Southampton can easily get behind us with their quality. Look at how they punished Chelsea
They have height too which is bad for lead boots!
They will score more from set pieces... Teams know our keeper does not come off his line!
That's not kaspers fault and I'm not a kasper fan. Kante, despite being 5 foot 5 is tasked with marking Fonte in the box. Not really very well rehearsed - Inler may have been a better option in terms of height
Not saying the goal was his fault but already I have seen at least twice he has not come off his line when he should.
Not sure why we aren't playing Inler. Tailor made for the holding role in a game like this, strong, tall, physical player. Kante is great but being outmuscled and indeed for the goal, out jumped
Probably because he's not good enough yet, Simpson marking Pelle is also a Mis match!
Kasper would never have got that ball by coming off his line, it was too far from goal. He was correct to stay on his line, but Kante should not be tasked with marking someone who's half a foot taller than him
TB, he was certainly good enough against England when he bossed the game. I agree he hasn't been great for us, but he's only going to get up to speed with game time. Why buy him if you're not going to play him? his wages are a small fortune apparently
Ulloa should of been on the bench or started to help defend set pieces.
BS- I have to have a player to pick on, now there is not Nugent and RDL is second choice!! LOL
