Özil this season has been unreal. He has stepped up. It's not his assists but his overall game. People are saying he's been performing like this for a while but I fail to see where the come from. He has been taking on a lot more players and has generally been very consistent.

I'd still view Henry's tally as a bigger achievement even if it's broken as he was also popping in 20-25 goals at the same time as setting them up. Henry was arguably the best ever prem player. Class.

How can you be far more upset about somebody but couldn't care less at the same time? The amount of comments towards Fabregas on your board says differently. RVP moved on to better things. You can't blame him for wanting to go to a team with title ambitions.

Wow Cech has been impressive this season.

Obviously Ozil is not in the same league as Henry but as a creator there are very few better players out there. For him to break Henry's record would be amazing, especially when you consider Henry was setting up goals for Pires, Ljungberg and Bergkamp. The only player in our squad arguably on their level is Alexis.

This Özil reminds me of his year where his career began....Magic.

Henry's record is all the more impressive because of the number of goals he scored himself.

Henry was just a monster. I struggle to even watch compilations of his goals/skills etc, because it reminds me how good we were and that we'll never see a player like him again.
