All of this seems to be the classic argument of the darker side of comedy..
Is it too soon to make a joke about?
Is it funny?
The answer to either can only be given by the reader/viewer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but I'm no circumstance should the answer be murder
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gee yourself a pat on the back mate, that's some great insight there.
You're a great person.
Why can no one else see it.
Someone posted this on my Facebook..
Looks like the France vs Germany game ended in a shootout.
There's two ways to look at that. You can be upset and furious and want the joke to be taken down. Or you can just live and let live and accept that everyone has the right to say what they want without fear of being stoned to death by public opinion.
They did mock the killings, can people stop saying they didn't?!

No point in us thinking one side is always right, and that is why I annoy so many on here, lol.

Such a weird thing reading this and wondering why Je Suis didn't do satire of their dead colleagues as if that would make some people take them more seriously.
Um, their mates died in the same office in them. I'm sure we can forgive them for not doing jokes about something so very close to home.
Problem is that some people are far too easily acting outraged about something that really doesn't matter in the scheme of things. Don't like what the magazine is writing? Don't buy it. Or read it.
Some of the best and most influential comedians have made jokes about things that at the time were hugely taboo. We need to just live and let live
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So don't mock your mates deaths but mock everyone elses knowing how it must hurt them?
Seriously Robb
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, yeah because it was their mates. You almost want them to write about their mates just to satisfy some infant-like need for things to be fair. You're a bit of a sadistic person aren't you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

That's bad taste, but that's what the magazine does, if they turned up at the funerals of the passengers and started mocking then id expect the families of the deceased would be well within their rights to give them a bit of a pasting, but again, no one forces anyone to read it, and get offended
After every famous death, large scale tragedy, big paedo news etc etc... Really horrible things... Within minutes there are jokes flying about. It is part of the world and Charlie Hebdo is just an extension of that.
Anyway... II always thought the JeSuis was more about freedom of speech in general, rather than support of the cartoons they actually publish

We need more people like them. The more certain things (like drawing Allah) are frowned upon the more they should be done.
Regarding the drawings of the plane crash, not everyone has to like it but it should be allowed to happen as you should never stifle whatever it is that drives these people on. Good or bad. The concept of what is art is lost on the angry crowd on here tonight.

Just one example of where you are wrong.
"Palestine (Jews v. Muslims)"
Christians are also getting massacred in Palestine and it isn't a religious dispute, it's a land dispute.
Just because either side call on help from god doesn't make it religious.
According to the Torah Jews can't even have a state until the Messiah arrives.
It's a Zionism which is the problem not Jewishness or Islam.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeohIS9OOLQ
Originally the zionists wanted to establish a state in Uganda! Doesn't sound like they are very religious to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's religious when Palistinsians refuse to live alongside Jewish folk.
If they didn't have an issue with Jewish people, it would have been over decades ago.
I know your support of Palestine, and I understand it, but every day we see videos of palistinians launching rockets into Israel, trying to attack their national guard attempting their own acts of terror.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets pretend for a second that the U.N. and Britain with the help of Zionists didn't forcefully create a state in Palestine called Israel and instead it remained Palestine.
Now lets pretend that Jews emigrated from Europe and brought houses and land from the Palestinians.
Do you really think there would be fighting??
Jews lived in Palestine for centuries without trouble. Jews Christians and Muslims in fact.
Hamas (i disagree with there methods) are a result of continuous persecution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's like saying people should be allowed to attack immigrants because they are buying houses in the UK.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not Busby.
I'm saying that if they brought houses and land there would be no trouble.
It just so happens they didn't buy the houses and land they are now in and on. The U.N. and Britain handed it to them without the permission of the people who own the deeds to the lands.
Thats the difference.
If refugees were attacking England to create a new Syria you would have every right to hurt them. It just so happens they want to live here peacefully without creating a new state.
I am intolerant how again?
Why is anyone still 'Je suis...'?
