Palestinians lose land and are treate with contempt by many in Israel so the cycle goes around.

Trick is for Palestine and Israel to respect each other and live in peace,and it would help if hamas stopped attacking jewsi civilian's,and if the idf did not view Palestinians as lesser people.

Yes it was there before Islam but what relevance does that have to what the world was like after ww2?

You can't just go around handing out land which has belonged to people for centuries in what was supposed to be a civilised world after the war 2.

Devil's advocate,but cartoon's such as Hebdo have been useful to poke fun at religious bigots,bad leaders,and from their anarchist and leftist beginnings,it is part of a free liberal society,to have satire,such as spitting image.
No doubt,Charlie get it wrong,and as humans,are no doubt right up themselves,and say and draw stuff they regret,or should not,in hindsight.

Alexi Sayle once asked why no one makes jokes about islam,and then said,"and I am not going to be the first".

On many an occasion palestinians have been offered peace concessions which they have turned down. There are two sides to everything as always.The Israeli government right not are reactionary and certainly a law unto themselves. Rabin being assassinated was a massive setback. It's extremism that is the problem on all sides and nearly always the poor civilians suffer.
Palestinians have suffered but also at the hands of Hamas and their own leaders.
Likewise now the poor people of Syria and Iraq are suffering and Europe will turn their backs on people who have seen unimaginable things and suffering. Lessons of history are supposed to be learnt but genocide continues to be carried out in many parts of the world.
I really hope this attacks don't dive even more and scare the public into targeting Muslims and refugees.
The US and governments like Blair's helped create these terror groups or at least strengthen their resolve and help radicalise people.

Hebdo in general did a lot of cartoons satirising Jews. It was only in the nineties and onwards that they reined it back a bit due to the editor at the time. The upshot was that the writers ripped into him instead.
