Br lost his way unfortunately. Biggest problem he had was he would drop players that should play for players that should not have. Prime example was lovren over sakho or allen over lucas. Br wouldn't ways turn to lucas when the chips were down but then will drop him as soon as result improved.
Further, over 3 and a bit season he only won once away to a top 4 side and that win was against moyes united. Klopp has already won 2!
I still can not believe we did not get rid of br in the summer and brought klopp in then
Non sacking in the summer was odd but so was letting him buy players then sacking him. Good thing Klopp seems to be able to work with them so no real harm done😄
Bitter....Main complaint was BRs insistence in playing players out of position, i was banging on about this all season and some of last as well.
Can, lallana, Ings, are just a few he consistely played out of psoition, drove me mental. I think Klopp plays the game simply, press, keep the ball and play players in their postion....it is simple.
I think it's quite simple really.
Rodgers is a very good manager. But there's quite a lot of them.
Klopp is a world class manager. There are only a handful of them.
When Rodgers gets back into football I expect him to do reasonably well wherever he goes, but he may not get back into a top European club again.
Klopp has already beaten more top four teams away from home in a month that Rodgers did in 3 years
Yeah, thats the other point. How many big games did br win? very few really, and as you said br had 3+ seasons; i man we actually lost a semi final to villa!
Brendan chopped and changed his methods and gameplan so many times that his team couldn't understand what was expected of them.
Klopp has one way of doing things and that simplicity is what's given us a boost IMO. He just lets our best players get on with it in the positions they play best in.
Brendan over thought it. Sad because I really like him.

I don't think it's that simple. Rafa changed tactics and formations and personnel. To great effect. I think Rodgers problem was the seeming randomness to it. It had very little to do with the opponent. It was more of a desperation thing with him. A panic when things weren't working.
He was panicking I totally agree with that. The FA Cup semi was where I lost faith in Rodgers, you could see the players wondering what the hell to do and Brendan looking totally lost.

stoke away should've been the final nail. But, had he been sacked in the summer, we may not have it klopp. So...
Agreed we should have got rid of him in the summer, I think we would be higher now if Klopp had been given the transfer money and the pre season to sort his methods, but he had just gone on sabbatical and do we know whether he would have come? Not so sure.
I'm not a fan of all the comparisons with Rodgers, some seem to be slagging him off after he's left forgetting all the good work he did here.
Yeah I think I should br for that season. I k ow alot of people said that was mainly ly due to sas by br did have the balls to go out all guns blazing! At home we were irresistible. I hope he gets back soon in management
A lot of you forget that Rodgers already had a similar style of play installed a long time ago, however the heat turned up, Suarez left... Signings were questionable, Sturridge got injured and he somehow went on to Abandon his football ethics.
Klopp
I meant to say take nothing away from Klopp though
Suarez made Rodgers look a better manager than he actually was...
I was not expecting too much from Klopp early on but he has made Brendan look like Mike Bassett the way he has got the players training and playing
Where's tiki this week with his Klopp is fraud article? Or is he too busy with a Wenger out one?
Rodgers was done mentally after the Chelsea game and Gerrard slip. He never recovered.
After that game the "Suarez made him look good" theory gathered momentum and grew legs, and Brendan became bitter towards that accusation.
He should have gone in the Summer but then LFC wouldn't have Klopp as their manager if he had, so I will cut FSG some slack on that one.
I doubt BR was jumping for joy yesterday as the goals went in. I suspect he may have some scores to settle of his own in the future.

I think Rodgers is a very good coach but the childish way he reacted to criticism showed he wasnt cut out for it (defensive coach line and people with an agenda against him)
The biggest frustration though was playing players out of position all the time (Ibe, markovic, Can) and them performing poorly. It was obvious for all to see that he was destroying big talents.
How you can expect a 20 year old, signed to a different country for £20m, to excel in a defensive position hes never played, I dont know, but rodgers was getting far too much wrong near the end.
Who is this Rodgers guy? I'd vote for Klopp.

Klopp stated yesterday after the game that we were not perfect, defence still needs working on, glad he mentioned it and didnt just hide behind the win and ignore it

thats the difference isnt it...top managers know the team can still improve.
Rodgers routinely praised the players, even when we were playing badly.
Once that mentality of constant praise kicks in, its very difficult to motivate when improvement is needed
