This bunch of players are spineless. Absolute no backbone to them.
All good teams have a very strong spine to their team.
Look at ours.

Gordon- Shaky and lacking confidence.
Defence- Well stevie wonder could glide through our defence.
Midfield- Brown asside totally lacking any grit and dig.
Up front- one decent player.

Is this the managers fault??

Aye, totally.

And shove yer formation up yer erchie too please ronny.

I don't know where I am with Ronny, one minute I want to be patient the next I read he doesn't want to play 2 up front because we score enough goals....whaaaaat!?

I don't even listen to his post/pre match interviews, not interesred in what he says because it very rarely transfers to what we see on the pitch. It's as if he's concentrating on the future to the detriment of the here and now.

That last half hour was the most frustrating and disappointing 30 minutes I've had at Parkhead.

All those crying out for 4-4-2 can hang their heads in shame. Cole and Ciftci up top and you knew what was going to happen regardless of who got the ball - Tierney hoof to the middle of the box, Jozo hoof to the middle of the box, McGregor hoof to the middle of the box.

Absolutely disgusting. The first half we had all of the possession but no final ball whatsoever.

McGregor and Rogic were barely on the pitch yet the one player who had been able to get past the defence - Forrest - was taken off for Allan.

An absolute shambles.

I said on Saturday I want to stand up for Deila and still say he has brought a lot to us however i was struggling on Saturday to do so.

TGFITW? Pfft First bad pass of the game and they were on the players backs.

Crying out for 4-4-2 well guess what? Motherwell ripped through 4-4-2 - Fvcking Motherwell.

I honestly think the players should look at themselves as much as if not more than the manager after Saturday.

i don't know where we go from here, we have a lower quality of player than we did a few years ago and we are buying with the intention of punting our players.

our best years as of late have been with settled sides, o'neils, strachans, lennons.

buying players with no intention of keeping them, with the goal of selling them on from day does not allow for a settled side.

Ki couldn't get a game regularly for lennon but he would stroll into that celtic team.

If Deila goes then Collins gets the job till the end of the season and tbh, f... that.

a number of things can happen.

1. Deila could go and the board will hire another yes man, player quality will continue to dwindle but it will be cool because we can sell a player once a year for a few quid. yay.

2. deila will stay, nothing will change and we wont get to the champs league next year.

3. Deila will go, the board will try a new approach and it will be poor that deila wasn't afforded the same opportunity.

Of the 3 of those, the latter is the least likely to happen.

1 or 2.

So you are telling me that professional footballers don't know how to play football?

Keny

I agree. IF Deila stays then fine - we know where we are as a club, he is making chages and he needs the time to implement them. We do have a lot of impatient fans who demand success now to the detriment of the future. We know how that works out...

Or Deila goes and we bring in another Deila type appointment who brings in his changes wit the same level of player - another gamble. How long will he be given if Deila only gets 18 months?

Or the least likely - the board decide they want us to be a CL team and spend the money it takes to be that team these days. Oh but wait we only get about £2M TV money a year and the fans aren't going so that's less money going into the club. Money that stay away fans demand we spend.

the board are as much to blame for our failures as the manager.

leaving it till the last minute to get players in, signing some complete tripe over the years.

Their poor investments in strikers alone has cost us money, both in player transfers and in failure to qualify for the champions least.

the list of pathetic strikers we have signed because they are cheap equals millions of pounds of wasted money and that is there fault, as is us missing out on the champs league because we had rubbish like pukki up front.

say what you like about samaras, but he scored goals for us in Europe, but we let him go to bring in someone cheaper.

someone who doesn't score goals to get us into Europe.

I'm rArely entirely sure where any of them are meant to be playing but he spent most if the game in the middle.

It begs the question....why dud ronny take Forrest off and then replace him with another Cm being forced to play wide left.

At certain stages late in the game we were actually trying to force the shape into the 4222 beloved of John Barnes. Look how that ended.

By the way...my opinion is that the formation isn't an issue for us. All formations can be debated for and against. Our problem is that when we lose our shape (as all teams do..,at corners, etc) it can take absolutely ages for us to get back into it (most teams snap straight back in).

Watch the next time our shape gets broken up then watch the players stumble around like bomb blast victims for about 30 seconds wondering where to stand on the pitch.

Leicester and Watford, 2 teams that don't have 'philosophy', play 442 and are doing more than alright.

Hector

There are a couple of teams that play 4-4-2 still. They have the CM's to do it.

With modern formations favouring more in the middle it takes real quality to be able to run a midfield when there is just two in the middle and two wingers being outnumbered all game.

To play 4-4-2 in this age you need players of the highest quality, we don't have that.

Leicester have guys like Mahrez who to be perfectly honest is head and shoulders above anyone in the Premiership.

Watford have a guy up front who does the work of 3 strikers in one game, what a player Igahlo looks, strong, quick, skilful and a cool head to finish.

We have neither, we are pinning for Leigh Griffiths, it's embarrassing, completely and utterly embarrassing.

Watford also have Deeney, I've wanted him at celtic for years but we couldn't afford him.

when we lost hooper I wanted Austin or Deeney.

teemu pukki and amido balde were cheaper but.

Deeney is a workhorse, I don't think he's great technically but he would do a job up here.
