I will remember that

Oh, I'm sure you will, but whether or not it's a memory that spurs you to be a pain in the arras on here remains to be seen.
The only thing that worries me is the current form of Finn Russell. He has been the key player for us, but just lately seems to have really gone off the boil at Glasgow.

I think that's a wider point about Glasgow's back line, they haven't hit the high points that they did last season. Bit of world cup fatigue perhaps? He's also not playing every game, they rotate with Weir a faire bit, which can't help when he wants to settle into a run of form.
To be honest I'm not overly concerned as he's the kind of player that rises to an occasion.
I like it, apart from Goode and Ashton obviously.
Tom Youngs, Wood, Parling and Barritt are everything that epitomised what was wrong with selection and just the fact that they have been dropped is great news. Glad to see Yarde back in there, from all accounts Beaumont is having a blinding season (I very rarely watch Sale), Itoje is in, Cliiford and LCD have been playing well even though I don't think they are going to be in the 23 immediately (I think it is good for them to experience the England camp).
One disappointment, Kvesic is only in as an injury replacement. Looks like Jones won't be playing a jackal either.
All in all I am pleased.
Having Wood and Burrell available won't do Saints any harm, but I worry a wee bit about tight head of both Brookes and Hill are away.
Other than that, nice to see Mr. Ed going for youth and manoeuvrability. Great to see Yarde in there. I think he's brilliant on his day. Sad for Cipriani though.

Don't think we'll see many changes from the World Cup squad. We had a decent enough campaign, so its not as if we need to be gambling on 7 newbies.
As our young players are some of the finest in the world they deserve a chance
The old heads reverted to type in the WC and look what happened!
It's a bright future, we just need to succession plan and get someone in place with EJ, learning and developing. Maybe Borthwick will be that guy?
That worked so well with Woodward's coaches didn't it.
I think it should be earned, not inherited.

This will finally be the year that italy win the 6N
But why on ITV
Ugh ITV? What did everyone make of their coverage of the World Cup?
No big shocks in the Scotland squad then. Why would there be. Nice to see John Barclay back in it, even if it probably took the ballgrabber being cited to make Cotter see that this "Scotsman" is just an out an out thug, albeit a thug with Scottish heritage. You can take the lad out of Guildford..................
Hardie will probably get the 7 shirt ahead of JB, but he's also got Fusaro in there. I like that. Sounds like an open plan back row to me. Strauss will be the rock and there's also Denton and Cowan to do a job.
Oh yes, I see good times ahead - and you can bookmark that Demus.
pretty satisfied with that Scotland team Show. Delighted also to see some home grown props being brought in. As much as I appreciate Nel was brilliant at the world cup, I always have a preference for home grown talent.
Although in saying that our whole back row isn't Scottish!!!!

The word is "Scottish" , and I beg to differ on Barclay. He IS Scottish but plays in Wales.
England will win on opening day at Murrayfield
Yeah Show noted
However, good times could just constitute finishing above more than just Italy in the 6N couldn't it <3
I am genuinely looking forward to the 6N myself, it's been 12 years since SCW quit and we have dealt with some very poor coaches. The only guy I had belief in was Johnson, but going from never coached to the top of the international game was a leap too far.
Ashton getting banned is a nice touch too haha.
Obviously we won't turn it around overnight but it feels like a beginning.
Ah was thinking Denton, Strauss and Hardie as a non Scottish back row!

They probably will be, but its just nice to see JB back in the picture.

Yes, I did predict we'd finish third, but for us that would indeed be good times compared with the rubbish were had to deal with lately.

What do you reckon on Devoto going to the Chiefs. Is this him bettering himself?
I'm surprised Bath haven't moved heaven and earth to hold on to a bright young talent like that. Having said that, it's pretty consistent with Exeter's overall plan. Have as many players as possible who are just under the international selection radar. International fringe players, yes, but nailed on international first picks, no thanks, unless they're one of our own.
That approach will win them plenty.
Good player but clearly behind Eastmond in the pecking order therefore it's a good move for him. Not sure where he will fit in at the Chiefs though, Hill is very good too.
