MLB is kind of boring but at least the royals won and the cubs/mets lost
Yeah it does suck more now, it's become too commercialised and all clubs are businesses. Also become too simplified and stats based, so many articles on Sky Sports that compare players just on stats and who scored ratings Managers getting sacked too quickly, too much hype over transfers and too much over analysis are a few other things I think are not good. But I love the way we're run because we stay out of that bubble as much as possible.
The rediculous money invested in it now has kind of ruined it. Prefer international footy to premier league to be honest.
I think football is better now than it was 5-10 years ago. 10-15 years ago being the peak for me, it went down but is now on its way back up.
Ridiculous comments about cancelling etc but you do have a point with boring.........
Over the past few years the style of play all over the world has all but evolved to the same format.....one team attacks the other pulls ten players (sometimes all 11) behind the ball......ball is turned over, the other team retreats rapidly to get men behind the ball and flood the final third.
This stalemate continues until somebody makes a mistake or one of the superstars like Messi or Ronaldo can find a way through. Time was, you could tell the difference between teams from Italy or Germany, even Spain by their style of play. Even the UK clubs were unique in their passionate and vigorous effort over the 90 minutes of play.
Nowadays about the only thing that changes between games is the colour of the jerseys and the atmosphere.
Hopefully another Barcelona or Ajax will come along soon to break the mould.
Foothall is good but does anyone find it annoying when watching games on Skysports and they analyse games. They show clips from a match and when they are talking about it they show some clips from such a horrible angle that you can barely see anything. That really does my nut in!
