You have to be an imbecile to turn an offer like that down.

Wonder Piersy is telling the truth?

I think I'd have to think about that deal......

The most ridiculous thing is the thought of Rooney learning Chinese.

He's still not got an FA cup to his name, so help us win that this year Wayne and you could leave with your head head held high.

Quality player for us, brilliant over the past decade but he is only going to regress now, if we can get a fee for him and allow us to move on in another direction then I'm all for it.

I don't see him going to China though, not for me.

It's horrific/hilarious, but I can fully imagine Wayne squinting and smiling broadly during his first press conference to make a good impression.

Can't wait for his first family meal out in China, kicking off that they don't do sweet and sour chicken balls with half and half rice & chips.

that is the big question isn't it...would wayne prefer actual chinese food to english/chinese takeaways? and what are the kebabs like over there...by which i mean proper kebabs, with mint sauce in a naan bread, none of your fancy foreign meat on skewers muck.

Soon we'll be hearing they're offering Ronaldo £1b.

Would you?

Rooney has enough money that he will never spend it all.

My income is modest in comparison, but I wouldn't uproot my family just for personal gain, unless everyone was happy with the move.

First time I went to China with work was to a not yet developed industrial area, and got served up donkey meat and chickens feet

Never going to happen ... for family reasons, if nothing else.

Where is all this money coming from in China anyway? Has anyone seen their economy recently?!

.................

The USA owes the Chinese 1.2 trillion dollars.

A trillion is $1,000,000,000,000

Their economy would be fine if they called in their debtors.

to be fair i've eaten chicken's feet, duck's tongues, and horse, all on english soil....but i would imagine wayne is happier with his egg foo yung and crispy pork balls than with the intricacies of genuine regional chinese cuisine.

Les us be honest here. I think every single United fan would be gob smacked if Wazza went to China.

MLS will likely be his destination.

I'd like to think we could get a decent fee if he wen't to China, some bang average players have gone for big fees, who would attract nowhere near the marketing potential that Rooney does.

£1m a week pre tax will sway him. It's only 3 years

I don't think Wazza needs the money SLM.

Don't think him and Coleen are the types to take away their kids from family n friends.

He can stay here and earn 250k a week plus bonuses for 3 more years. He won't leave.
