It is the most obvious thing any manager could do at this stage.

You don't get many free games in football so use them and blood a few youngsters to see if they have what it takes, far better than waiting til next season, loaning them out for five months and then realising they were food enough anyway.

*good not food.

But knowing Kenny he will make sure we eak out s few more clean sheets instead.

It's a fairly standard football fan mantra when things aren't going right isn't it?

Give the kids a go, what have we got to lose and we may unearth a gem.

I don't buy that in our current setup.

Generally if a player is even close they go out on loan to grab a bit of experience at a lower level and then of they do OK they get their chance in the senior squad.

I very much doubt that there is a great hope for next season sitting in the U21s being ignored.

Don't see it can do any harm in what are basically friendlies at this point tats.

United have been forced to throw youngsters in and it has worked a treat for some of them.

I understand that...but it has to be a case of sink or swim...if they're not good enough at our level then get rid......we "want" to be in the prem, what chance when we're relying on youngsters coming through (to balance the books) that barely get games at League One...the whole club ethos is flawed

Two most likely to be used would be Bright (18) or Hunte (19). Plenty of time for them not to be ready yet but still come good in the future. Why risk their development just 'cause people are not used to middle table and have got a bit bored with the season?

I doubt it's about being bored, not for me anyway.....just think they need blooding at some point - why not a few mins in our final games of the season when the pressures off? wolves fans have always gone easy on our youngsters would be nice to see them get a shot

Free games at champo level are no different to league one gsmes.

One thing is certain, we are gaining absolutely nothing by setting up the way we are and playing guys that won't feature next season.

We owe it to other clubs that may be battling relegation, or trying for promotion, to play our strongest side.

Feck other teams, we need to worry about our team.

All I would say is that with Kenny in charge right now it would probably do more harm than good to the youngsters to be involved in this crap.

no we don't, not really....our first loyalty is to ourselves
