I actually agree with you. How Carrick wasn't England's main midfielder from 2006 to 2012 is beyond me
SLM but Carrick best season was 2012/13 season.
April 2013 saw Carrick nominated for the PFA Player of the Year Award for his performances during the season with Manchester United.[129] Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said Carrick would be his personal choice for the award, "He is a quality passer. He could play for Barcelona, he would be perfectly suited to their game. He has a good vision and is an intelligent player."[130] Tottenham winger Gareth Bale was ultimately voted as the winner;[131] Carrick was, however, included in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2012–13 season.[132] Carrick went on to be announced as Manchester United's Players' Player of the Year for the 2012/13 season.[133]
No runners in that midfield. Dembele does all Diers running for him. Kante does all drinkwaters running. This is why noble should be in there

Why? Don't you have a valid counter argument?
LVG's philosophy suits international football better. Keep the ball, make the opposition run a lot and then beat them 1-0 and progress in a tournament.
England cannot string more than 3 or 4 passes together.
LVG next England manager !!!!!!!

Noble is quite clearly average, please take your WHU tinted specs off
I believe I watch him a lot more that you do and my point is that he runs his socks off while the current England team don't. He would add a lot more than Henderson, Delph or dier do

Dier, Delph, Henderson, Milner and Drinkwater are all average, Noble is probably technically the best out of all of them.
i dont see this england team being so different from many others ive watched over the decades (except this england team is defensively v dodgy)
Cant control matches in midfield against decent passing teams...bit of pace upfront
that's it
Carrick is the missing ingredient to this England side. Its amazing England haven't won a single game in knockout stage since his MOTM performance in 2006 WC, his only appearance at an international tournament.

If you play for Spurs you play for England. He joins Man Utd and never plays for England again after that in a tournament.
I would have both noble and Carrick ahead of that garbage
Tomkins its amazing spanish players rate him highly. Alonso rates Carrick highly and Herrera too. Carrick and Rooney our 2 main captains lifted the trophy and Herrera mentioned England needing them.
http://www.caughtoffside.com/2016/05/09/england-euro-2016-squad-carrick-must-go-says-herrera/
“England have a chance in the Euros,” Herrera began, speaking to journalists as per the Mirror. “They are a very young team, a very quick team – but you also need players like Wayne or Michael Carrick.
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12016/9981192/xabi-alonso-england-have-to-evolve-playing-style
And the 33-year-old, who played 200 times for Liverpool between 2004 and 2009, feels the national side should make more use of Manchester United's Michael Carrick, a player he thinks would get in the current Spain team.
"I've always seen myself in Carrick," he said. "He could play in the Spain national team. And in United he has been a very important player.
"
I remember him and [Paul] Scholes were like a perfect machine, because Carrick was always in the right position and Scholes was moving around, doing his special things.
"But in the national team Carrick doesn't play that important a role. I could see him being an important figure in making the team better, but it doesn't happen."
Worst England side we've had since the early 90s.

Crap defence. Crap midfield. Decent strikers. But let's face it vardy and Kane aren't gonna worry any of the big teams at the euros
Technically good England team? Hell no. Probably one of our worst ever. And yet, if this side broke the QF ceiling getting to the Semis at least I won't be surprised in the slightest.
There's a fearlessness to this team that gives them a spark. Haven't been more optimistic of England's chances at a major tournament since 2002 in Japan, which was the last one where we didn't disgrace ourselves.
