If this is what they are like now, imagine what they would be like in they're own country in 2 years time !!!

Lets not forget, they will have ALL the fans there, they will not have to give their passports up and they will not be deported anywhere if they are caught.

The world cup in Russia will be a disaster.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Russians are a proud people, the majority won't want a WC to be a national embarrassment.

It's out of order to label a whole nation because of a few lunatics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your last comment is exactly whats happened to English fans over the years.

Get all the English lads to watch Rocky IV before they go out there.

Having been in the Stade De France I can easily see how what happened in the stadium to the English fans the other night happened, lack of security in the stands was outstanding when you consider all the talk of security etc.

I was searched once going into the ground and even then that was a pat down, I could have got a weapon, flare in if I wanted to pretty easily.

For all the talk of heightened security the only place I saw it was at the Fan Zones, other than that you see far tighter security at a premier league game.

You can preach that to me when somebody is killed because of this behavior.

Battywhack.

That's the point, the decent majority of English fans have been tarnished and subjected to aggressive policing everywhere they go because of the minority, to do the same to normal Russians that just want the craic following their team is silly.

Dowlias

Cool yer jets mate, you obviously didn't read what I wrote and as for deaths, the Turks have killed more English football fans than the Russians.

Bloody computer. I'm calm, just a sheet pointless article.

Not as pointless as your bloody comments.

Why post at all if you think it's pointless? Imbecile.

It's clear that the work done in the UK with bannig orders has helped the situation, clearly nothig of the sort has happened in Russia.

Like when England player here in Dublin I think up to 500 people with banning orders couldn't travel, there wasn't a bit of trouble before or after the games, fans were mixing in the pubs after and it was good craic.

The behaviour of the Russian fans is despicable and is rightly being condoned by all on here.
That said, you know have first hand experience of what the rest of Europe has had to endure for decades when your boys travel, I accept it's a minority but then it's probably a minority of Russian fans causing the bother too...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even at their worst, England mobs were not booting innocent 50 year old "scarfer" fans repeatedly in the head when they had been already knocked unconscious.

Take your anti-English bias and stick up your backside pal. There's enough examples of your own countrymen embarrassing themselves abroad if you want to throw mud. Diiiick.

Thugs are thugs, and there has been plenty of violence at football tournaments over the years, especially involving English fans, what people seem to be up in arms about is the Russians are more organised, more violent and there's more of them
They've just taken it up a level

Ridiculous comment on something you probably know very little about.

What people are "up in arms" about is innocent, football watching fans getting steamed at by a hardcore hooligan element.

England have been no angels in the past, but at least we fought other like-minded yobs out for the same thing.

The guys the Russians should be fighting all have their passports locked in a Home Office safe.

posted on 15/6/16

Yes, I know a few Cardiff fans who have had their passports taken off them for a few weeks.

posted on 15/6/16

Yeah because English fans have never attacked innocent fans while tanked up on drink have they?

When football violence kicks off in city centres and other public places there's always innocent victims, to suggest otherwise if frankly stupid and naive

Because English hooligans have standards right enough....walloper!

But the Russians seem to be pre planning their hooliganism.

It's not as if they are having one too many and getting aggressive in drink, alcohol changes people in different ways.

The Russians are almost arranging this with military precision, that is frightening.

And in this case there are thousands of innocent English victims being targeted, by blokes not "tanked up on drink", but trained, organised and most likely ripped to the tiiiits on steroids....is that ok because a few English mobs have been naughty abroad 20-30 years ago?

And Scottish fans do yeah? Standards in Manchester? Standards in Amsterdam (on more than one occasion)? Standards in London?

I work with a old fella who used to run with both Aberdeen and the national team....he's got quite the repertoire of stories of his active days...the Scots are no angels so maybe you should stop throwing stones in your glass house?

There was a show on TV recently about the young hooligans today, they focused on one guy, I think he was Spurs and he was getting in touch with fellow hooligans from all over the country through twitter and Facebook, pre-planning their set-to's...

Madmen that want to fight just use football as an excuse.

No it's not okay at all, it's disgraceful, but like I said earlier, they've taken football violence to a new level, if some dickheads hadn't started the ball rolling 30 or so years ago we wouldn't be here now, it's no good causing havoc all over Europe for decades then start moaning when someone else does the same in a more organised and violent manner

If they want to fight other hooligans, then let them find a field and go for it.

What I am seeing and hearing is Russians not even being fussy, they are attacking anybody, no matter what age, man or woman, they are attacking people who are just out there to support their nation.

They are organising it meticulously. They are far worst than a gang of men who have turned nasty because they cannot handle their beer.

You're right mate. You're preaching to the wrong folk though.

Most on here just like to look self-righteous, regardless of whether or not they know the true facts.

Like you I have some very good friends out there now. I hope your friends stay safe
