Davis has always been a very good player, it's just that he went largely ignored by the media in favour of show ponies & more controversial players.

Was one of those "Why the hell is he still at Rangers?" players, or perhaps more pertinently, "Why the hell did Rangers not sell him?"

The media like a number of JA posters wouldn't know a player if they saw one.

That said Davis is a much better player today.
He has matured in to a great talent.

He plays in a very defensive NI team, he sits in a defensive CM role facing the ball most of the game,biting for scraps. Its an easy position for him to play in. If he was asked to play in a better side that attacked even occasionally he'd be found out as he has been quote often at EPL level. He was a better player when he was at oldco Rangers

Today's games have been utter scheidt

Folk criticised the group games for being dull, but I thought overall they were ok.

You won't see me defending today's games though. This is what it looks like when teams are playing to not lose rather than to win. I'm not sure there's been a single counter-attack in any of the games.

I totally agree Murney, same for the whole tournament though, bar the Portugal v Hungary game.

In real danger of becoming a dud tournamnet.

If anything the additional teams have taken an edge off it.

Poor day of football

I'm sick of watching every team play 4-2-3-1 and counter. It's shieyte.

Counter attacking football only works if at least one team attacks in the first place.

Would like to see the passing & possession stats of the centrebacks in this game. Will have the best of anybody.

These Euros have been brutal to watch. Hardly selling the game worldwide to new viewers.
