He hesitated as if he was waiting for the defender to deal with it!
When he should have just punched the fecking thing and if you get the CB head, so be it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
like Karius did against Loveren, he didn't hesitate to punch the ball, as it was Karius broke his hand, things like that happen.
------------------------------
49 times out of 50 you don't break your hand!
Mignolet simply isn't good enough!!
I don't know why loads of people think we have made average signings. I'm very happy apart from the left back that I'm sure we will sign.

Well let's take Wijnaldum for instance. He did well in Holland which is no real assurance he will be good anywhere else.
He's then overlooked by all the top clubs and goes to Newcastle where he by the fans own opinion goes missing for half the season when they need him most. That player is 25million to us!
Secondly Mane, yet another Southampton player at top dollar (do we never learn?) and a player who scored most of his goals in a purple patch near the end of the season while going missing for large parts of the rest.
Klaven, Karius and Matip are all bargains who could be anything or nothing at all.
It's a real shocker of a transfer window and one which in my opinion will end up with Klopps resignation.

---------
I think Chillwell was very well thought of in the Leicester set up. We are desperate for a LB and we could have acquired him for 10m what's not to like given Moreno's problems?
Zeilinski was the first player linked this summer and again 15m would bring him, he comes across as a real Klopp signing up and coming and not that well known.
Karius looks decent so I can't moan about that one and again Matip is free and a decent performer in a tough league.
Where my issue lies is with blowing 55 million on Mane and Wij. Both have been very erratic over the last two years, for our main business of the summer it's a huge risk IMO. Are they really Klopps choices or have our infamous transfer comittee been at work again ?I think Klopp has his hands tied to some extent, and I don't believe he has total control over new signings which was the same problem that Brendan had.
The club has come into a huge windfall of TV money and now is the time to pick the players Klopp wants whether it be Goetz or Lewandowski, Hector ect and convince them it's one year out of the CL and in next year. Chelsea managed that with Kante and Utd managed that with Mkhitaryan.
I have faith in Klopp but I'm not sure he has enough control in the new set up.

This is what he did at Dortmund no doubt about that, but this summers signings have been in his image in some cases and in the transfer committees in others.
If they are all Klopps ideas then I would feel better but I don't believe they are.

Personally I think if we are not back in the CL next season then Klopp will go.
All things are relative, and relative to other clubs with CL aspirations (as we apparently have) our player acquisitions have been poor and highly speculative in nature.
I think we'll improve slightly from last season but if you compare how we have 'strengthened' our squad compared to the stellar signings elsewhere then it will be yet another tough year comprising moments of delight and huge disappointment. I have no doubt we'll give it a real go but CL will be secured by Arsenal, Man C, Man U and Chelsea or Spurs.

Klopp has come out and said he's delighted with the Mané and Wijnaldum signings and what have you actually seen of Chilwell to be worth £10m? Please enlighten me.
Klopp has just signed a 6 year contract yet you think he'll resign at the end of the season if he fails to get us CL.

WTF come off it ARE that is simply ridiculous
If you can accept that the likes of City, Utd, Chelsea and to some extent Arsenal can simply blow us out of the water which clubs with similar aspirations have signed better players?
CL Spurs? Well they have raided Holland and the dreaded Southampton.
Champions Leicester?
It's truly weird what people expect especially a man resigning a contract worth tens of millions!
It's even worse seeign fans gettign all angry over 'marquee' signings when Klopp doesn't do this
I think ARE's points about Chilwell and Zeilinski are valid.
I don't care if we don't make "Marquee" signings!!!
I want us to make signings that Improve on the players we have and improve the side.
Karius - Can only be better than Mignolet.
Klavan- replacement for Skrtel who had gone stale, his record suggests he rarely gets injured and can play left back if needed.
Matip - Klopp obviously knows him and rates him, think he'll be a good free signing.
Mane - showed how good he can be last season, has better stats than Hazard over the last 2 seasons and adds much needed pace and goals from that wide area. Better than Lallana, Ibe or anyone else we had there last season.
Wijnaldum- scored more goals from midfield in a relegated side than any Liverpool player last season. People going on about him going missing for half the season? What about the rest of the Newcastle side not stepping up and matching him?
Gruijc - looks like a really good promising player that could be a worldie given time!
The only thing I have a problem with is the fact that we've not signed a left back and if we had the money I'd go and get Forster from Southampton and get shut of mignolet all together!
It's about trusting Klopp wjen he says the real work happens on the training ground
'Why all this talk of a "marquee" signing when that is not Klopp's way of working, FSG specificallytargeted him as manager because of his track record of signing players and developing them.
You can argue the merits of FSG policy but Klopp isn't about spending 100 million to try sign a Pgba or 75 on Higuain, it's just not the way he works.'
And long may it continue! By 'marquee signing' i read 'well established who likely costs a fortune and requires very little skill from scouts/coaches/managers to identify and get potential from'. It one way of running your club if you have loads of money. Personally, I would rather my scouts/couches/managers have skills to spot a potentially amazing player and develop and release that potential. It just what i like to see in my football team rather than seeing loads of ready made 'stars'.
OP you are spot on. I've been on Migs case for a while now. I can't see why he escapes the vehement criticism when he has cost us so much, even the capital one cup final FFS. Those that have been backing him despite the never ending clangers should have jumped ship by now.
