I think today wont have done jesse's chances any good, Mikhi, being a Jose signing might get a bit more leeway but in his post match interview he blamed one or two for not being switched on and up to speed

Despite my general ABUness, I like him.

He should start

Ddefenders hate him, bags pace, and very good with the ball at his feet

Jose openly blaming individuals already .Didn't take long.

But yes we still don't know our best team or how to get the best out of certain individuals.

i should qualify it by saying jose then went on to blame himself, for picking said players

He should be starting. He is the player that out opponents would least like to have running at them and he makes things happen.

The only bad thing about starting Rashford is that it means you can't bring him on later in the game.

I can live with that.

Can he last a whole game, regularly?

Watched the game in a red pub, and whenever he, or Pogba got the ball, even if it was just a simple pass it was like they had just invented the Cruyff turn... I get that, he's a local lad who fans want to do well, but there was a bloke next to me saying Rashford "changed the pace of the game" when he came on - wrong, United's goal just before half time changed the pace of the game, Rashford 'did' Sagna fairly early on, and after that was kept reasonably well under raps.

Been saying he should start since the start of the season... We're just hamstringing ourselves any other way.

And he needs to be starting down the middle...

Think he should be starting for England too.

Personally I'd be cautious with ever throwing too much expectation on someone his age when inconsistency is an inevitable consequence of the age. Ox looked a world beater as a teenager and has regressed badly since, so playing regularly at 19 didn't do him much good. Rashford is probably best served by being your impact sub at the moment IMO.

Should Rashford be starting? In short, Yes.
