TBH, looking at the fixtures, I'm not sure when we get to December that very much will have been added to the sum of human knowledge.

I'm not sure playing NZ twice is a good idea for Ireland. England should have a few straight forward wins to boost confidence. Wales will be the same as they were with a couple of biggish wins and a couple of tight games. Scotland? Well, I'm not sure what the Georgia game is about. Possibly a hostage to fortune if the powers that be want to rejig things to include the Adzes. Either us or Italy would be the test of that I suppose. France's fixtures have a bit of sense about them; getting progressively tougher tests against SH opposition. Italy will take their NZ pasting early on and hope to build confidence after that so that they stand a chance of a meaningful win against Tonga.

England's fans might need to accept not playing NZ for a while as they are being greedy making demands over money. I don't think it is a bad thing for England, although due to the uncompetitive nature of the tri nations it could be deemed bad for the game itself.
We need to play well and win our four games, easy said. I don't think it will be at all easy though. South Africa will be tough coming off the back of that pummeling they received. Australia will also be as determined as ever after what happened thus summer.
I'm not particularly concerned about Argentina or Fiji, I hope we can rack some big scores up against these guys.

37-10 in the end up. A record 18th consecutive Test win for NZ.

Our autumn schedule does look slightly dissapointing on paper. A lively opening encounter against South Africa but the team hasn't been together for a while so wouldn't be surprised if we don't get in that first game. South Africa meanwhile have had plenty of time together at the rugby championship.

Other two fixtures fairly low key.

Hadn't realised that we were playing Australia actually- isn't that outside the usual international window? Makes it a bit more lively.

The all blacks can wait until the lions tour, no good destroying our confidence with just a few months to go anyway.

I was just about to say England are playing Australia early December so there's a couple of big name games in there.

Neither Oz nor the Boks should be a major worry to England right now, so you should be looking to win both of those quite comfortably if you have realistic ambitions of ever surpassing the ABs.

Despite how the score looked, Australia were really good yesterday and could have won that match. Things went against them, including a terrible TMO call that would have seen them take the lead.
They are a serious threat, make no mistake.

South Africa have been terrible by their own high standards. I see Steyn has been dropped which will help, I'm not sure what Bok side will show up at HQ to be honest. The demolition by NZ at home in the last game though will certainly have them fired up. You have to remember over the last decade they have been our bogey team too.

Both games will be tough imo.
