Definitely want some sort of closure from this season.
---------------------------------------------------------
You'll be disappointed.... Negan is still alive and kicking in the comics years later and has refound his brutal streak... probably a good 3 seasons worth out of him at least
As graphic as this episode was.... it kinda needed to be... Negans character is all about shock and horror, watering it down would have made him just another bad guy
I set my Sky box to record it, and could then skip through the adverts.
Just as Negan was standing over the group (poised) my Skybox crashed
It's clear Negan doesn't like gingers or those of a far eastern descent
On a serious note, I thought it was a great episode. Gripping throughout. My only gripe would be that Rick didn't actually chop his sons arm off. I've never liked that kid!

Unlucky mate. It's already as good as leaked that Daryl dies in the s. 7 finale.
one of the most intense hours of TV I've seen in a long time, great start to the new season

Never watched a single episode, I have seen the adverts but have so much other stuff. Is it worth downloading the boxsets?

I agree Shugs. Just venting he's always annoyed me though.
Yesterday's episode was a step too far.
Just glad they didnt kill daryl
I liked the episode as they needed it to show just how big a threat Negan is rather than the other big bads there have been over the years.
Having read all the comics to date the next few episodes and the whole series is going to be epic

yeah.... and he's been rumoured to die in every season finale since the third
Should follow The Spoiling Dead on fb... they are that accurate AMC have issued them with court orders before big episodes

Don't think the all out war will happen until next season though Robb... otherwise do you not think its all going to be too rushed
This season for me will set it up... introducing the Kingdom, building alliances etc.... the war will only kick off late on, probably the finale
Next season... All out war... following season, the Whisperers intro
Lauren Cohan and Andrew Lincoln both said that they were livid when they read the script for the season 7 finale. Lincoln said it upset him so much that he couldn't sleep afterwards, and that the mood on set that week was depressed. In fact, the only surviving cast member who hasn't commented on it is Reedus who, incidentally, has signed up to a new motorcycle programme with AMC which is set to launch the week TWD s.7 ends... It's like AMC are pre-appeasing the fans by prepping to say: "Daryl is dead, but wait.. here's Norman Reedus on a Bike!!!"
I thought it was brilliant, the first episode at least was back to it's best after a couple of stale seasons. Hopefully the rest of it is as good. The death of Glen was a surprise to me especially after Abraham got it first.
Is there ever going to be a natural conclusion to TWD? It's becoming very tedious all of this humans killing humans, with a side of zombies.
The story hasn't progressed for 3 seasons. It's just stuck in a cycle of:
1. find safe haven
2. war with nearby humans led by psychopath
3. climactic battle, which sees safe haven overrun
4. flee to find new safe haven
5. and repeat
Some talk of a cure, or restoring a semblance of humanity would be a nice change.

its the second season of his motorbike show... season 1 aired this year
could well happen... I'd not believe anything until its filmed
I think Daryl's story has gone full term. There's not really anywhere else that they can take his character, is there?
The luxury of having this key character who wasn't in the comics is that they can literally do whatever they want with him, and I think they'll use that to full effect with his death scene.

while I agree he's been a bit stale the last season or so...
Glenn's death is basically his fault for reacting... he has revenge angles all over the place at the minute... for Glenn, against Dwight (the guy who is swinging the crossbow)... although Dwight goes a different way in the comics
for me it's opening up a bit for him again
Shugs, if people are saddened by the Negan storyline imagine how they'll be with the whisperers. There was one death by them that choked me up!

Totally agree with this, I was excited that Eugene and Abraham were on this mission to go to Washington to find some cure. Gutted he was lying for his own survival.
But yes the cycle continues, this one is just more badass
I thought Reedus said last year that he wanted to branch out into movies/other projects?
The Whisperers don't really kill anyone of real import. At least not anyone that fans of the TV series alone will be heavily invested in. Will be good fun to see how hey are depicted though.
Was interested in chatting about this.... but why do people insist on discussing spoilers further into the season or what happens in the comics?
