But Long is not prolific enough, overall I'd rather sign neiter and get Pulisic from Dortmund

Long would score less than Sturridge does now.

Maybe, he's a good lad though Shane except when he has time to think.

You'd probably rather have Stephen Hunt over Pogba too wouldn't you?

posted on 3/2/17

No although there are a plethora of players I'd prefer over Pogba

I like Shane Long and that's that

I actually had the same thought.

We need more pace and skill in the front line.

Obviously wouldn't happen, but he would suit us quite nicely if Klopp could get him pressing.

Utd never sell us players so not going to happen. Can see Martial leaving though, he's clearly a talent and isn't being given games.

Probably a move abroad I'd guess.

Worth a punt? Not even worth a second thought.

The Franchise never does business with our football club.

Isn't he really about 30 anyway??

Klopp would turn Martial into a feared beast.

Pulisic wil lbe cheaper and has shown as much promise as Martial.

I think the Pulisic ship has sailed after his nice long contract at Dortmund was signed.

He would cost a fortune now.

Plus him and Martial are very different players.

Pulisic is right sided primarily and not a striker.

Martial is left sided but with the potential to be a number 9.

We won't be signing either though.

We have turned our attention to Julian Brandt.

Pulisic has shown as much promise, how exactly? He's only played about 20 or so games for Dortmund. He's also a midfielder and not a striker.

United wouldn't sell to Liverpool, Jose or not Jose.

Good player though and judging off recent games, Liverpool could use somebody who can run at full backs at pace on the LW and run in behind. Liverpool could ideally need to find somebody like that who can play on the LW, who can do a Mane and run in behind as well as run at defenders and come inside. Liverpool would then most certainly have one good midfield and attack. Brandt would be a good option.

------Henderson----Lallana------
----Mane-----Coutinho----Brandt---
----------------Firmino----------------

Certainly one good attack force and Lallana proven it time after time this year he is good enough to play that advanced midfield role. That's a strong team for me. Origi and Wijnaldum can easily come into that team as well (or Can if needs must).

*Liverpool would ideally need to find somebody -

Also to clarify, although Brandt wouldn't look to come inside like Martial does, he does have the pace to run in behind and get at full backs. Much like Mané does now.

He's wasteful. No thanks.

How do people get through a day being this stupid?

Jose may have sold players to rivals before but nothing like united and Liverpool. He's be lynched for selling one of our best young talents to you. It's simply not going to happen. Not even a starter.

Also can I remind you how young he still is. How good was your 'magician' coutinho at martial's age? I'll be honest. I didn't even know he existed at 19.

At 19 Coutinho was on the Inter Milan bench having been brought a couple of years earlier to huge fanfare and being labelled 'the future of the clubs'.

So pretty much exactly the same position as Martial.

And can I just point out that the vast majority of the posters have said this is a total non-starter. We haven't sold each other players since the 60s and its not going to start now.

It would be great as he's exactly the type of player we need and if nurtured under a manager who gives a crap about his young players, he'll surely get better.

Unfortunately it's never going to happen.
