As long as he's there to look forward not back.
First job should be to get in some top quality fresh blood to help us out.
All these available (out of contract) at seasons end :
RB - Phil Bardsley (31)
RB - Alan Hutton (32)
RB - Steven Whittaker (31)
CM - Charlie Adam (31)
AM - Haris Vuckic (24)
FW - Kyle Lafferty (29)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol look forward not back and the first thing you do is list ex Rangers players out of contract
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Naismith is such a decent guy he might even give you guys a wee loan to tide you over.

Aye, right after Liam miller and feruz are given a standing ovation at Celtic park !

For ok we've been heavy schiedt, I feel for warburton in that his midfield would have been totally different but for largely unseen circumstances.
I know some say Barton was always going to end one way but I don't agree with that. He's loved at Burnley by players manager and fans
Then kranjcar getting nasty infury. Again, the oracles say was always gonna happen but again I don't buy that
Then rossiter, exactly what we need. Hardly kicked a ball. England u21 captain.
Crooks, constantly injured then when he was back presumablynot doing it in training
Could have made a big difference if he hadn't had such bad luck on the midfield injury / nonavailable players.
Not saying we'd be challenging Celtic but I reckon we'd be sitting comfortably second.
Tho why he didn't get a decent couple of defenders I'll never know. Baffling
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is with unforeseen circumstances today??
Yes-no one could have foreseen that Barton would end up a disaster. Because it's never happened before. Burnley appear to be the exception rather than the rule with him.
Niko-a guy that's hardly kicked a ball for a couple of years and has had some injury issues-I agree that the seriousness of his injury could be unforeseen, but not that he wouldn't have been injured at some point.
Rossiter arrived with a history of injuries at such a young age. It's continued, and it's unforseen...
Crooks is on his 7th club in 7 years. Wonder why it's not working for him?
It's not unforeseen-it's just taking too many risks.
Why didn't we consult with these guys

I think guys like Tavs, Waghorn and McKay are confidence players. They lack mental toughness.
And Tav himself has admitted that he thought it would be easier this season than it has been.
I think the players are full of doubt and lack the mettle to handle the current set of demands on them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can most definitely add Holt and Halliday to that list.

Have you not considered that maybe that was their level last season?
Tavernier and Waghorn were kicking about the lower levels of English football. Bolt was sent out on loan from Hearts and then they let him go. Halliday was the cause of a number of goals you lost last season-he got away with it because he scored a couple and your team invariably scored more than the opposition which helped mask his deficiencies.

IE-many said Barton would end in tears, Niko was a massive risk due to his lack of games, and that Rossitter was injury prone. Crooks was an unknown-because he's been playing lower league football. Generally, there's a reason for that. It didn't work out for him, you say because of injuries, but when he was fit he struggled to make the bench.

Or just wishful thinking?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not much of a surprise really when there is such an abolsute lack of clarity in any answers or plans whatsoever. It goes with the territory.
It's clear Rangers are still struggling financially so it would be of little shock to think that they'll only pay bills as and when they absolutely have to. Businesses with cash flow constraints do this all the time.
A bill is sent payable by a certain date and Rangers don't pay it in time. Questions over solvency and ability to pay are raised and so it goes on. It's another symptom of being a business in concern. It also adds to the everyday pressure.
It is what it is.

I agree with that totally. Also with regards to garner, he has his critics (no really, he does), but he doesn't hide and was one of the only two players with Miller that looked like they actually gave a fck yesterday.
