Alright pal.
Us lot are no good at boycotts......to oirishy!
I tried to boycott Eire goods, but the butter, bacon and bread did for me😁
Seriously though, us lot are not like yeez, in that we are not homogenious😉
We are Individuals, freethinkers, lonerider Clint Eastwood types, who do our own thing.
Basically, hard to control and organise.
The boycott made no difference.
Fergus saw a chance to make a buck.
"Come on and say that to my face."
Ffs
Let’s split the difference.
Parallel view might be that you’ve never had a reason to need to organise.
Establishment n’at.

The times are a changing!
Partick<Fergus saw a chance to make a buck>
Unlike Murray, Whyte, Green, King?
They were only there for the profit of others?
What have you line of crooks done?
Every one of them left the club in a poorer condition.
Fergus left ours much better off.
Fergus came in and stated what he would do.
Constructions, budgets, and when he would leave.
He left on the very day he said he would 5 years earlier.
He said he would take the loss or profit on that day and go.
Which he did.
It was a profit but could have been a loss.
Never made a comment about whether he made it a better club. He clearly did so indint know why you feel the need to list his achievements.
I just don't think your fabled boycott made any difference
It's just yet another piece of nonsense revisionism from a fan base who love to aggrandise and embellish anything their club does.
Ah waited Partick - no show.

Who do you think I am? Neil Lennon?
I'm not in the habit of getting leathered by pensioners
< I just don't think your fabled boycott made any difference >
Well I was in it and I KNOW it did.
You weren’t in it and were young.
The Core Group of Celts For Change flew over to see F McC several times
in summer ’93.
I personally know 2 of them.
Before the Internet and YouTube they presented evidence of the level
of protest in paper form.
F McC came over and opened up discussion with the Coop Bank.
He chased the White and Kelly crooks out.
The boycott didn’t achieve everything on its own.
But it was the ignition key that started the engine.

beelin at Celtic's success and the shambles that is Rangers
Revisionism???
"Wurra same fekin klub innat.
We boat wur history fair in skwerr".
Revisionism indeed.
So some guys went over and talked to a potential buyer. Hardly a massive boycott.
Not really any more important than the Rangers fans groups who have actually invested in the club and in doing so helped to dilute Ashley's share and marginalized him on the board.

Shambles of a club led by a shameless and glib liar - Rangers!
<So some guys went over>
It’s clearer by each post you haven’t actually have a scoobie about this.
The ‘some guys’ who went over were the leaders of the boycott.
Who were supported by tens of thousands including me.
The boycotters went to Fergus.
Fergus came over.
Get it now?
Figures who had previously been Insiders of the old regime joined in.
Guys like Jim Craig came into talks with the boycott leaders.
And then with F McC.
He flew to the USA, NZ & Australia persuading dormant shareholders.
The rest is History.
As I said, it's no different to Rangers fans groups who helped to force out Ashley. Not just by talking, or not going to games but by actually putting their hands in their pockets and investing.
Only difference is we got a shyster like King
We organized
We had a boycott
We invested
We forced out a hated board
We got a new owner
So stop droning on about "mobilizing" like you've done something we haven't or that we aren't capable of.
Because we've already done it.
Tell ye what Partick.
You win.
Don’t bother with a boycott.
They’re a waste of time and resources
Soldier on as you’ve been doing since 2012.
It would be shame to jeopardise 5 years of unbroken History.
‘We organised’
