Hopefully nerves will jangle a big deal for Preston now they've got themselves within striking distance of the top six and Forest can be on the spot to take advantage. Been a few years since Forest were up that end of the table and I was taking notice of teams up there. Always seemed to be a lot of nerves amongst the runners for the play offs. Hopefully that kind of situation continues.

Warburton has had plenty of time to have a really good assessment of the squad this past couple of weeks. Hopefully he has been able to bottle the feeling from the injury time equaliser in the last match and can release it around 1.30 tomorrow at Deepdale.

Mills and Hobbs could be in contention. Warburton will like his defence to play the ball out so Fox holds an ace in that regard as his distribution is pretty decent (compared to when he played at LB especially!) I would like to see one of them back in alongside Worrall personally. PNE have goals in them so will need to play a strong hand in a game Forest need a point as a minimum.

I think we need 7 point's from the next 4 games. So that means only the one loss! Also we need to reduce our goal difference; that is conceding another point and place in the table at the moment.

Yes, that shellacking at Norwich certainly didn't help things with regards to the GD!

Only have to look back to the Burton game a few weeks ago to be concerned about the prospect of two away trips in four days. Really got to hope that Warburton has instilled a sense of urgency into the team. Any repeat of that performance would almost certainly see a zero point return from Deepdale and Molineux.

BBC only reporting that Mills is available for today, not Hobbs. Does Warburton go three at the back with Mills, Worrall and Fox?

Lichaj certain to return so almost certainly going to be a back four as I don't see Lichaj as a wing back and he is the best defender at the club so is as close to an automatic selection as you can get with this team.

I agree Will, I think three at the back will be a bit too radical for MW at the moment. I expect a back four with Mills in for Worrall.

Vaughan again just in front of the back four. Four more across the middle: Ward, Cohen, Clough, Osborn. Lone striker? Take your pick; but I don't think Britt can play with his back to goal; it has to be Vellios or BB.

I'd be happy with that line up Red. I'm not a huge fan of Mills but he's an upgrade on Fox (bar the excellent distribution) and Worrall probably deserves to keep his place. I hope MW sorts out the CB situation over the summer. I'm hoping Worrall can become a very good player but unless Hobbs sorts his fitness issues I think we need an experienced CB to come in. Move on Perquis and Fox and keep Mills and Mancienne as back up.

Unless we're in league one, in which case Mills and Mancienne would be good enough

Yeah, from being a settled area of the team, u has become a bit of a guess as to who plays there. Only Worrall has really been consistent there this season and he is still quite raw.

Worrall is going to be a top CB in my opinion, but he is prone to a mistake or two at the moment which we cant afford. Danny Fox is underated as a CB by quite a few people. He is good in the air, good with the ball at his feet, and is left footed. The big drawback is his positional sense and reaction times sometimes let him down.

In the summer I can see Hobbs, Mancienne, and Perquis leaving, and hopefully Luke Chambers returning to cover the CB and RB positions.

Back Four net season could be

Lichaj, Mills, Fox, Pinillos

Cover would be

Chambers, Worrall, Ahmedhodzic, Iacovitti Traore.

Maybe Ahmedhodzic, and Iacovitti out on loan for three months.

Interesting on Chambers. Have Ipswich offered him a deal yet?

Don't know Will; but he seemed keen to come in January. If we can match their offer if they make one I think he would come.

Ipswich are quite frugal with their money so I would hope Forest could top what they offer, if they even make one?

Pretty wet in Notts today. Can't imagine the weather is any better up in Lancs. Gonna be a day for stout hearts!

Can't say we are lacking in that department, Will. Especially since Montanier departed.

Team selection and balance is the key for us and has been all season. Get the right balance and we will be fine. The return of Lichaj means nobody should have to play out of position today.

Smith, Lichaj, Worrall, Fox, Pinillos, Clough, Cohen, Vaughan, Osborn, Brereton, Assombalonga

Evtimov, Mancienne, Tshibola, Carayol, Ward, Vellios, Cash.

Just realised, no McCormack - that's interesting.

Doncaster can be promoted today, crikey, that really brings it home that the end of the season is nigh!

McCormack is turning out to be the waste of time I suspected he was going to be.

Hmm, SW held to a draw, PNE will be up for this game even more now, they could close the gap to 6th to just 3 points...
