Reminded me of the game against Reading the season they went up with 100 points. Think that also ended two nil against. Quite hard games to take as there's no particular aspect of the opponents game that completely blows your socks off. And yet both of them were so far ahead of Wolves that it makes you feel your own team is shocking. Thought Brighton were a team that did everything well which will almost always expose a team that does some things okay and some things badly.

It looked like a team at the top of the division, full of confidence, playing a team near the bottom who want to go on their holidays and feel they have nothing to play for.

Funny that.

Poor, very poor.

So I've seen 6 games - 4 defeats, 1 0-0 draw and the Rotherham game. How do I apply for a refund?

Tell you what. The rest of us will have a whip round and pay you never to set foot inside Molineux again. Is that a deal?

Well wolves revert back to type hoof ball into the corners and a midfield devoid of any creativity. This game showed how far away we are from challenging for promotion. The money we get from Costas sale in the summer has to be invested wisely and much more too. We need around eight quality signings in the summer to mount a challenge.

Awful.

Just seen that we won on possession, so not overwhelmed.

Lambert: "There was a catalyst of errors there".

What does that mean?

Lambert has finally woken up to the fact the players are mediocre at best.

We weren't as good as the best team in the division, shock eh

I thought Brighton made us look a pretty poor team tonight and we are starting to look like a team that have done as much as they are going to do this season and we may not get many more wins unless Costa comes back and gives us a lift.

Plenty of poor performers tonight including Lonergan, Hause, Saiss, Edwards, Weimann, Cavaleiro,

I thought Marshall, Bodvarsson and Batth did ok and it was a bit odd to see two of those better players substituted.

Brighton looked a very good team with knockaert and Bruno outstanding

I still think that the main difference between the teams was experience. Older and more experienced players simply make less mistakes and play with more confidence and assurance.
Here are the starting 11s with their ages.

Wolves
• Lonergan (33)
• Coady (24)
• Batth (26)
• Hause (21)
• Doherty (25)
• Saiss (27)
• Edwards (31)
• Weimann (25)
• Cavaleiro (23)
• Marshall (26)
• Bödvarsson (24)

Average: 25.9

Brighton
• Stockdale (31)
• Bruno (36)
• Hünemeier (31)
• Dunk (25)
• Pocognoli (29)
• Knockaert (25)
• Stephens (27)
• Sidwell (34)
• March (22)
• Murray (33)
• Hemed (29)

Average: 29.2

Over 52K for Newcastle v Leeds game. Fair dos

Lack of quality, creativity and imagination.

I'm referring to tonight's match and the footballing set-up of the club.

Lambert was such an uninspiring, mediocre and lazy appointment. He has been here over half a season and the overall results and performances have not improved at all. I could argue that we are less entertaining than under Zenga.

If we keep Lambert we will waste another season. We will be somewhere between 12th and 16th playing dour, functional football.

He will be gone by Christmas when he runs out of people to point fingers at. The bullet-proof Thelwell will draw up a shortlist of Phil Brown, Micky Adams and Russell Slade as we need "someone who knows the league"

Billionaire owners who know zero about football may as well be paupers.

Leeds with a last minute equaliser at Newcastle. We drop a place with Burton losing. Obviously safe, but nothing much to play for now.

Wanted us to sign knockaert when we had the chance

Read umpteen match reports now and sounds a fairly mundane affair with Saiss the pick of the midfield despite being sloppy on occasion and Cav the most attacking intent, best of a bad bunch today maybe.

posted on 14/4/17

I thought Saiss was very poor, suggest we sell him
Obviously with a few others too
