I still think Wlad will be kicking himself this morning. He had a great opportunity against this young lion but took his foot of the gas and left himself vulnerable to the AJ right hand.

Watch that fight, and tell me you honestly think he'd even have a chance vs Bellew or Haye let en knone Joshua, Wlad, Wilder or Fury. I'd fancy Chisora to knock him out

I'd rather take your word for it than watch it.

I'd seen a couple of his fights before that vs Takam and some american and he looked alright, but that fight in his big title fight in his home country he really looked so poor, and i personally had andy ruiz winning it by 1.

Parker just barely did anything, he doesn't look very powerful, and i can't see him being able to deal with any of the above names power.

I don't think he even jabs or moves that well he's quite static, and Andy Ruiz was just hunting him down in a straight line and Parker was struggling as to what to do, was a bit like watching Chisora.

I just can't see how Parker would cause Joshua a single problem in a fight

i've been watching boxing since before most of you lot were born

anyone who disagrees with what the general opinion can be labelled a casual

i stand by my opinion a five years younger Wlad won have won that fight ..he's a far superior boxer to AJ

AJ is a slightly improved version of Frank Bruno , which in this utterly garbage era of heavyweight boxing is more than enough to make him world champ

Using Lennox Lewis by way of comparison.
He was way way better than AJ...a far more skilled boxer

Wlad is done.

He did look quite resigned post fight, as if he knew that was his last fight.

Never count him out though as he has made a career out of proving people wrong. That said, at this age has he got the ability and desire to go through it all again.

Where are the casuals Vik apart from "Tip Me Into A Skip"? All I see is posters critically analysing the fight. Nothing wrong with that. Can't stand posters who come on after a fight, drunk on Ribenas, telling everyone that was the best fight ever and anyone who questions the victory, should stop watching boxing. Nothing with a bit of analysis.

Not saying that was you BTW Vik

Ffs this muppet again.

Remind me again where Lewis was 19 fights into his career.. oh aye that's right, he was still fighting 10 rounders against bums.

If I was 5 years younger I could still go on a 3 day bender without worrying about the 2 day hangover.

Your point is irrelevant, much like yourself.

After some of the recent "big" fights this as a breath of fresh air. The likes of Fury and Chisora had to try to make the out of the ring bit more newsworthy to deflect away from their boring ring styles. Haye and Bellew had a lot of mouth and Haye hobbling around the ring so it wasnt a proper fight.

This one had a calm build up and it was all about in the ring and a great fight.

Im expecting Joshua to work more on his stamina before the next fight. Hes got big muscles at the moment and I expect to see a leaner version next time with more work on stamina giving more muscle definition.

There's nothing wrong with his stamina

He just finished an ATG in the 11th round while looking fairly fresh.

Anyone know whether Wlad rematch clause with Fury is still valid?

Could be an interesting one - AJ and Fury talking about a match when Wlad has the contractual right to fight both of them

I wonder if Wlad would fancy another crack at Fury, it would be a good time given Tyson's inactivity (twitter aside) since the last fight.

Improving his stamina should improve his recovery time. He has a very long spell recovering from his knockdown and more explosive fighters would have finished him. Everyone knows that no so he needs to do something about it.

When seeing these armchair critics sniping at Joshua's performances, this Malcolm Tucker quote springs to mind.

"Some people, they just facking love to hate. Some people, they'd facking walk around the facking "Garden of Eden facking moaning about the lack of facking mobile reception. These are the kind of facks who watched Mandela - facking Nelson Mandela - walk to freedom, and said "Is Diagnosis Murder not on the other side?"

Joshua not perfect ffs, he's only had 19 fights He even admitted this in his post fight press interview. However, he is perfect for British Boxing in this modern day era in enlivening what is traditionally the main division in the sport

ha ha, gotta love a malcolm tucker quote.

but yeah, some people seem determined not to enjoy it, and prefer to bleat on about how a 22 year old tyson/30 year old wlad/35 year old lewis would batter joshua...which completely misses the point that joshua's peak may be 3-7 years away by the way.

who cares, it was a great fight, i couldn't give a monkey's where AJ ranks in the all time heavyweights table. if all you ever do is compare sportsmen today with sportsmen of yesteryear you're just dooming yourself to eternal disappointment and bitterness.

I can only watch what actually gets to happen in the ring

The sportsmen of the previous generation always seem to be better than the current ones. Strange that...
