Very hard question. I'd say Aguero edges it, he's so ridiculously clinical. But I loved RVPs shooting technique.
If RVP didnt suffer injury problems during the majority of his Arsenal career (which we stuck by him so im glad he did the same for us when we needed him...) then i believe he would be rated even higher than he is now.
Would he have won arsenal a trophy earlier with no injury problems, im not so sure. Our team is full of bottlers now but the team from 07-11 was the biggest bunch of bottlers id ever seen
Going by peak, van Persie's 2011-13 run of form has probably outshone Aguero. Aguero of course has delivered high standards way more consistently throughout his career though, even through spells of being plagued by injury.
RVP + Fabregas combo averaged 3.45 goals or something..I remember when Arsenal where ripping teams apart and scoring for fun.....until RVP got crooked...
It's a damn shame we barely got to see RvP and Cesc play together for consistent periods.
They could have been one of the great PL forward combinations, looked so good together the rare times they were on the same team sheet.
RVP was what Man Utd needed at the time. He was excellent during his spell at Man Utd, hence the reason why Man Utd won the league at the time. Aguero has been consistently good throughout his career though.
Conclusion both quality players.

Did he have more goals or not?
That's rhetorical of course because he didn't and never ever will.

Article asked who was better at their respective peaks.
RVP from 2011-2013 was the better player all round and out scored Aguero. So yea, you are wrong.
No I just can't be assed to write the same stuff again.
Aguero scored five goals in a game so that's his peak. RVP done that?
Over their PL careers then it has to be Aguero
However, where can his peak be pinpointed? RVP from 2011-13 was better than any consecutive seasons from Aguero, Aguero just banged them in more consistently throughout
Therefore, 'at their peaks', you'd have to say RVP
Might as well be asking "Which Veyron is faster, the blue one or the silver?"
