I wish he had as I know what Sherwood’s response would be, bearing in mind some of the funny cm partnerships Fergie played:

“Well if it’s good enough for Sir Alex Ferguson to play Giggs and Rooney in central midfield then it’s good enough for me.”

What's funny too is that the AVB-Sherwood combo amassed more points than Poch did in his first season.

We weren’t too bad under AVB/Sherwood in a lot of the games as our general talent was better than the opposition so we won games that way. If you saw our results vs the bigger teams it was ridiculous, I think I made a decent chunk of money betting on spurs to get by 3 or more goals vs Chelsea/City/Pool etc and it always coming through

Sherwood feels Capoue has to play in CB because he doesnt believe in DMs

Still can't quite get over him beating us in the fa cup with 9 defenders or domething

Yeah it was pretty embarrassing. Arsenals reputation took a lot of damage in those years

The 8-2 was:

I mean....

Thing is most of those players in that 8-2 were better than our rivals’ at the time.

That front six was some of the most entertaining football we’ve played under Fergie for like two or three months before Cleverly got injured.

We absolutely battered Spurs and Arsenal at the start of that season.

I remember some of the goals on that 8-2 were genuinely stunning. 2 free kicks was it? And 1 or 2 great long rangers.

Thing that wound me up the most was when it was 6-2, Alan smith said if arsenal took that chance to make it 3-2 or something then it could've been a different game

Yeah Rooney scored two free kicks and Young curled two bangers into the top corner.

Alan Smith is such an awful commentator.

I watched that game with my gf at the time and her utd supporting brother. Was very emasculating

Honestly that was exactly my experience. Facking Dzeko had the most outrageous finishing performance of all time (until that Gnabry)

Gnabry in that game was ridiculous.
