Played for Barca as well. One of the players that got them a transfer ban.

Yeah saw that. Could be an excellent signing for Inter. Conte won league titles with Alonso and Moses and Lichsteiner and Asamoah playing wing back in his teams.

Imagine what he could do with a talent like Hakimi.

Mourinho is so bad that Spurs fans are begging our star striker to leave for the sake of his career

Our fans were doing the same with Pogba.

Some of your fans are so in denial about Poch. They blame Levy for everything, as he has the final say on transfers, but won’t put the blame on Poch for failing to sign players in defence, which badly needed.

Yeah I think Poch is more to blame than Levy tbf - and I am Pochs biggest fanboy.

1. He could have used loan systems/blooded youth better. KWP was a good player and stagnated so hard having not gotten a loan out. Him instead of Aurier or Foyth at left back could have made a difference.

2. Poch clearly around the 16/17 season changed his contract from Coach to Manager wanting autonomous control - admitting himself he was on the transfer committee. Meaning he had a big say in ingoings/outgoings.

3. He then clearly turned down loads of signings that Levy tried to make for the team because they weren’t the ‘right player’. Lewis Cook being an example, I believe Mawson being another but that’s a bullet dodged. Even if we had signed some bad players it would have given our good players more of a rest.

4. He burnt the squad out. This isn’t necessarily his fault but the team have all regressed because they’ve clearly played so much high tempo football since 15/16 with few breaks.

Also Poch did like to pick fights with players which was a little annoying. Selling Townsend was poor.

It’s just weird that some fans don’t want to criticise the manager for his bad decisions.

We’ll sign Kane next summer. Can’t wait, I facking love Harry Kane.

They spent like £120m this summer, and didn’t buy any proper defenders. That’s on Poch, not Levy, for prioritising creative midfielders.

Funnily enough it was a Wenger-like perspective, where he failed to address the defence and defensive midfield.

I actually think all the signings last summer were smart and made sense with the exception of not getting a RB in.

We needed an Eriksend, Dembele and Rose replacement and got them in. Just didn’t get in the RB/DM that we needed at the time - Vertoghen regressed at a surprisingly staggering rate.

However yeah everything we are suffering for now is for not making any summer signings two years ago. Which is on both Poch and Levy.

Had we had a Michael Edwards I think we would be were Liverpool are now, or at least in a much better place.

But that’s not what I’m arguing, obviously they needed more before that and Levy’s at fault for that.

But what they did need Poch didn’t address, so it’s his fault.

You didn’t replace any of them. Ndombele doesn’t play like Dembele, Sessengon doesn’t play like Rose (Poch didn’t even play him left back) and Lo Celso looks a talent but hasn’t got the productivity to replace Eriksen yet.

Everyone was saying how great your summer window was and I questioned it then as you didn’t fix your shiiiiit defence and defensive midfield. And it cost Poch his job.

If I could do last summers signings all over again I probably would have spent the Clarke money on a young English fullback like the Derby County lad or the Middlesbrough guy.

He’s so weird with his favourites. For us it’s like Moura (who I hate), Sissoko (who is so limited), Aurier (lol) and Ben Davies bizarrely. You could make a case for all 4 of them being our worst players.

I dunno if he does anymore, look at the signings he made for United.

I wouldn't have sacked Poch, it's just a reflection of how crazy stupid football's become.

It's hardly as if Spurs we're regularly qualifying for the CL and challenging for the top trophies before he arrived. There was progress under Redknapp, but nothing on the scale and consistency Poch achieved.

No matter how poor a season Spurs were having, they made so much progress under him and so little under so many other managers that it's foolish not to take the hit of one transitional season and give him a fresh start the following year.

We have a good scouting system, he just didn’t listen to them.

I can understand why they sacked Poch, I think he checked out and so did the players, and I don’t think Levy would have sacked him if it was salvageable, but the problem was replacing him with Mourinho.

I think Poch had given up after the Bayern game.

We were really unfortunate at the start of the season but by the time it had unravelled there was no going back.

I think he gave up after the CL final. He must have just had it with those absolute bottling cuuuunts.

There were signs well before the CL final that Poch wasn't happy with Levy or ENIC. His press conferences were spikier, his body language seemed different and he clearly wasn't sure whether he was up it anymore understandably. This doubt and uncertainty filtered down to the players and affected their performances too.

For as well (and as flukey) as Spurs' CL run was last year, let's not forget how absolute horrendous their league form was from January 2019 onwards.

The signs were all there that the relationship between Poch and the higher echelons at the club had broken down to the point where it wasn't salvageable anymore.
