Was that Shameless King bloke.

How many points were Spurs above Arsenal when Arteta took over? This season has been so weird.

I don’t know but I can’t imagine much

Really doesn’t reflect well on Mourinho if Arteta finishes above him with an inferior group of players.

Yeah that would be seriously bad. Especially as, and I hate these kind of things as they are nonsense, but I think if you did a ‘combined XI’ Spurs would easily come out on top. They have a lot of decent younger players, Auba and potentially good Pepe. It really reflects badly on Spurs.

I don’t know when exactly he came in but around Match week 17 we were 4 points ahead and week 18 we were 3 points ahead.

We are now 4 behind with Everton to play.

Arteta's first game in charge was on Boxing Day. We drew 1-1 at Bournemouth.

We were 11th in the league, 5 points behind Spurs after that game (24 pts) and we had a -3 goal difference.

It’s inexcusable really. Many were talking about Spurs going on a run and nabbing fourth spot off of Chelsea back then, be funny to see how it’s spun if Arsenal finish above them.

This season’s been so unpredictable, though. We looked completely facked in December. No we are in a good position to get third and two trophies. Hafi’s the only one that would have predicted that.

Hafi was probably expecting L'pool and City to implode and United to romp to the title on xG

Weirdly it was Chelsea twice who stopped us in our tracks when we looked to break that top 4.

First time it was by a really predictable and average Chelsea back 5 which was criminal how Jose got beat so comfortably.
Secondly it was about 3 days after we were unsuccessful with getting Giroud in and he scored the opener or winner I forget which.

Mourinho always loses to Chelsea.

posted on 6/7/20

Wow I just checked and bar his inter side he has a terrible record. I mean losing to a Conte side in a cup final should have been the indicator.

They were lucky in that game.

From Matt Law:

Solskjaer wants to replace Marcos Rojo with another left-footed defender in his squad this summer and Ake is thought to be one of the names on the club’s radar after Solskjaer apparently told the Dutchman: “We need a left-footed centre-back, so keep going.”

But Solskjaer is likely to prioritise his big money on a new striker and right-sided player before United move for a defender, whether it is Ake or somebody else.

United had also been considering signing a defensive midfielder, although Nemanja Matic has penned a new three-year contract.

Don’t see that happening. Sancho, Grealish and maybe a cheap cb, depending on sales, is most likely, in my opinion.

posted on 6/7/20

Yeah I don't see us going for a striker, not this summer. At some point maybe next summer we're going to have a big decision to make regarding that position over what direction we want to go.

I don't know if I see Grealish happening. I think if Pogba went, then yes but I'm not sure anymore.

posted on 6/7/20

I think we’ll sign him and Pogba will sign a new contract. It’s clear we need more quality and depth in attack. Given how short we left ourselves this season I don’t think we’ll make the same mistake again this summer.

Grealish, Rashford, Martial, Sancho, Bruno, Greenwood, Ighalo and Pogba are incredible attacking options.

I'm a little surprised we're looking at Grealish if we actually still are because his behaviour during lockdown wasn't good and well he does seem a bit thick.

posted on 6/7/20

How is he a bit thick?

posted on 6/7/20

Just because of some of the things he's posted on social media and the incidents during lockdown.

He just comes across that way a bit.

I don’t think it’s that big a deal, to be honest. The club have been going a bit Brexit FC, and he has that bit of creative spark that should be really valuable to the team.

I haven’t been convinced by all of Ole’s signings but I think this one makes sense, even though I still think we need a cm/dm.

posted on 6/7/20

I get that he'll potentially bring a lot to the team on the pitch but Ole has made a point that any signings we make have to be a good fit not only on the field but off it too and the players need to demonstrate that they're responsible and disciplined.
