I'd also prefer to see Golovkin win this fight, especially after Canelo vacated so as to not fight him last year when he should have.
Some interesting points being made about the Danny Jacobs fight and using it as a gauge for where Golovkin might be at right now. Another way to look at it though is how would Canelo fare against Jacobs ? Maybe we'll find out down the line.

Jacobs is getting seriously over rated by the day because of that performance, I think it was more to do with the fact that ggg might be slipping a bit, I mean despite his fan friendly style he been tagged quite a bit over the years despite not being in those so called "war" fights, he's 35 now so is bound to be a bit slower than he was a few years ago when imo he was at his peak between the geale and monroe fights, I favour canelo by ud or even late tko

Jacobs is hella good, i dont think he is overated, easily the next best at 154 IMO. He is also massive and is able to cut weight very well. Add that to the fact he is good on his feet makes him very awkward. There is a reason both Eubank and BJS wanted nothing to do Jacobs. Eubank woulda got a lesson against Jacobs as would BJS.

Best outwith GGG and Caneloa I meant obv
Boxnation is free on BT sports (which I have )
cant wait !
think canelo will get it
Think Canelo wins this, don't think he'll stop him, maybe late on, but think he'll win. If you can take GGG's power he's pretty beatable, and even then still think his power is pretty questionable along with his resume.
If GGG loses comfortably too what does that really say for his legacy? Yeh he's knocked out a lot of mediocre fighters, but he was lucky to get the decision vs Jacobs, still think Kell caused him all sorts of problems too.
Seems to struggle ( yet still win albeit ) when he comes up against a classy operator. Think Canelo can just take everything he has, and he'll just jab GGG's head off to a 12 round decision.
Be nice to see Cotto GGG when/if GGG loses, then BJS v Canelo

Guv i respect your opinion and that's what it's all about my friend
Can't really argue with your reasonings, i've only seen around 5 of Golovkins fights live, and i've been kind of impressed but i'm just still waiting with bated breath to see this real monster, i know he still lost but I still thought Kell was making him look very over rated bare in mind Kell was stepping up two weights too, and the Jacobs fight i personally thought Jacobs edged it ( Only by 1 round ) and i just felt he managed to absorbed everything GGG threw and reply with great success.
GGG is pretty easy to hit, and i just don't think a classy operator like Canelo will struggle, and i think he can absorb what GGG will give like Jacobs did.
Maybe GGG is just starting to feel his age and a long amateur and pro career, or maybe he's just taken the last two fights a bit lightly but will know how serious and at his best he'll have to be and he'll absolutely bang Canelo out and rise to the occasion of the biggest fight of his career, and Canelo's too (Was still young and not in his prime when he fought Floyd, and this is the best vs the best)
Gunna be a great fight either way don't really see how it can't be, but just opting for Canelo this end!

Tbh I don't see that happening. Can only see one fighter getting knocked out and it's not Golovkin.

dont see either getting KO'd to be fair. Both have great chins. Think Canelo will just be able to counter him most of the night and have the energy thro youth to keep it up for enough of the fight to nick it on the cards...2/3 years ago however and i think GGG wins. My betting slip will say canelo but I will cheering on GGG. win win for me !! unless they fecking draw !! again wouldnt rule it out and now saying it I will stick a few quid on a draw also!!
